Russian River (2020)

Covid already affecting life changes in early 2021. I like the idea on online sales for Younger. It’s fair game for all. Unless robots start showing up.

 

I’ll be really excited for this assuming it doesn’t sell out on .05 seconds or something. Hopefully RR will be able to put some safeguards in place to prevent bots or abuse of the platform.

 

Looks like it's going to be part of a "mixed" pack, so something like one bottle of PtY along with three other non-PtY bottles? That would probably increase the number of people who can buy due to both the single bottle and the cost. It would be great if they gave you PtY and PtE as part of that to compare and contrast.

 

The post says 4 bottles of pty for each mix pack.

 

Any of you thinking of doing the Russian River Membership? 450 is such a steep price and I’d like to know what type of beers they’ll make. They made it seem like they were just doing barrel age wild program.

 

I want a membership where I pay a fee and then they send me all the hoppy beers all year long.

 

I think with Russian Rivers (Vinnie/Natalie’s) history of great beers and reasonable pricing, you could expect to be getting your money’s worth. They’ve always seemed open and honest.
And just my personal opinion: I would guess it would just be ba wild beers. Too many bugs in the brewery for imperial stouts. Their hops are widely available, so it wouldn’t make sense to pay a large membership to buy them. (Unless there’s some sort of extra pty allotment then everyone will shit their pants).

I'm going to attempt to join. I think the potential is high, and I have no doubt I'd at the very least get my money's worth.

 

I'll probably throw my hat into the ring. Russian River is what started my obsession with craft beer 13 years ago. I've been debating joining a beer club for a while now. It would make sense for my first one to be with them.

 

I asked on their Instagram post about the new club if it would include early access to Younger bottles. They liked my comment but didn't answer the question. Lol.

 

I can foresee younger being bottled exclusively for members.

Ya I don't see them pulling younger from public release, maybe members will get access to more bottles

 

That would be a very expensive Younger if your only after Pliny bottles.

 

Yeah what I meant was early access to Younger bottles before they go public.

 

I meant for all future releases. I can see younger 2022 being bottled again for members only, as the rest of public will have to chase the limited draft releases.
