I am thinking about trying to hunt one of these down for a special occasion, but don't know much about frequency and volume of releases. I saw FfaC had a handful go out on raffle, but I am more interested in a Supplication, Consecration or Temptation. Obviously these will command higher than direct cost but does anyone know what they typically go for in the brewery?

I have a pretty extensive CA based cellar going now and will be a Bruery HS member for 2014 so I have Black Tuesdays, Choc Rains, Grey Mondays, and soon to be HS exclusives like Mocha Wed. My brother also lives near Firestone's Barrelworks so I have several Sucaba/Parabola from the last two batches available. I feel like some of the Bruery exclusivity will help bridge the gap for large format rarity and it should land somewhat in the $ 4 $ range but really have no idea at this point.

Any input is appreciated, and feel free to BM if you have one available : D

    Cheers

They retail between $90-$100 if I remember correctly and I traded my supplication for a brandy papier .

The majority of the CA guys with bottles will already have easy access to Bruery and would probably be looking for something much greater in $ value than $4$ if for some wild reason they wanted the regular Bruery stuff (@nicks6217 opted for a rare as shit bottle). Anyone outside of CA who has traded for one will be looking for rarity.

You can try an ISO, and maybe someone out there wants mass amounts of Bruery and Firestone, but I would suggest having a backup plan.

Thanks for the intel guys. Any ideas on how they are normally released? I am going to head up to RR this Jan and wouldn't be opposed to fly one back home if I got the chance.

@claaark13 Yeah that is why I would probably be offering Hoarder Society exclusives which would be much rarer in production. Worst case scenario I will just have to stock up on 375mLs

As a hoarder member myself and a former owner of a 3ltr I would imagine that it would be hard to flip hoarder beers for one. I think the major issue here is that many tasting groups have hoarder members in them or can acquire them for less. The 3 liters are released with less then 50 bottles per and are not on regular release rotation so or makes it a matter of being there at the right time to acquire one.

Good to know, thanks. Looks like I will just have to keep an eye out and hope for some good fortune.

I was ballparking something like Black Tuesday, Choc Rain, Grey Monday and Mocha Wed (3L for 3L) but that would put the $ at close to $150 for a $100 bottle.

The more I think about it though the less worth it it seems. The pursuit would be fun and the trophy would be great but If I had to shell out well over the top for essentially a large format shelf beer it doesn't add up. I think I might just stock up on small format bottles while I am there in Jan.

If anyone hears about one of these for trade or sale, please shoot me a message. Trying to track 1 down as well.
