I'm planning a visit to Russian River and Lagunitas in October. Are both breweries family friendly enough to bring along my 4 month old?? Or should I just leave him in the rental car with my wife (haha, just joking about the last bit).

You should be fine with both. Russian River is a restaurant, and it's pretty busy sometimes, but not rowdy. Lagunitas is a chill outside setting, with benches and a stage for a band.

You should go a few minutes north and hit Bear Republic as well.

Lagunitas is probably slightly more family friendly because of their large outdoor area, but both are family friendly. I bring my daughter to both all the time. She actually requests to go to Russian River.

Agree with pretty much everything in this post. Lagunitas probably has the best atmosphere, with the patio and plenty of seating. Always see lots of kids when I've gone.
