Russian river and the number 23?

    Why does russian river have the number 23 on their labels?

    The part about the Mayans was wrong (as were the Mayans). The last day of their calendar was 12/21/12. Not the 23rd of December.

    They wanted to use the number 420 but SweetWater threatened to sue them so they picked 23 instead.

    What were the Mayans wrong about? They didn't predict the world would end on that day.

    From the Russian River label (and quoted from the thread linked in the 2nd post)....

    "Mayans believe the world will end on December 23, 2012"

    Pretty sure that didn't happen. While that error may or may not be attributable to Russian River, I'm pretty sure the Mayans were wrong about a lot of other things. If they were always right, they'd probably still be here.

    Or were you saying the Mayans were never wrong about anything?:astonished:
