    What's the price this year?

    $20 per bottle.

I spoke to one of the managers, they said the expectation is that they'll do about a release a week, different days with at least one on a weekend. This should take several weeks.

If it doesn't sell out on a day, it'll be available the next day as well, but NOT a new allocation.

Having said that, they said there were no for-sures about any of it...

I got there at 11:20 and there was no line. My allocation was the 47th sold. About 40 people at opening, not everyone was there to get Beat...

Interesting to note that they did NOT sell through all 100 cases yesterday (200 full allotments), and it's still available today. Now that it's a bit more socialized, I wonder if it'll sell out today.

So, I'm one of the dumbasses who stood in line with 2 buddies for 8 hours last time to get this only to find that people showed up at 5:00 pm only to find very short lines with a 15-20 minute wait and walking away with bottles just like we did. The whole thing was bad news...right down to seeing Natalie Cilurzo drive by us videotaping all of us idiots in line while we wasted an entire 8 hour day waiting for this. We weren't even smart enough to split up or share time with the others in line by us to go inside, eat and drink some then get back in line.

I've been to RBC tons of times, went to the Wild Friendship Blend party which was freaking amazing and I truly respect Russian River, their brand, products and even how they run their business. I just chalk that bottle release up to a really unfortunate customer service experience where they had more people than they expected, weren't properly staffed and appeared to have a real problem processing credit cards in a timely manner. It appears that they've learned from the last Beatification release and I'm happy to see that they're trying something new in terms of how they release this. Kudos to Russian River. So...with that said:

I'm trying to figure out a proper strategy to get some bottles this year and need to think this through since I live/work 1+ hour away. According to reefer_bob they sold 47 allocations by 11:20 AM yesterday when he was there (200 allocations would be the max per release day assuming those people bought the 6 p/p limit)

but others at 4:00 and 5:30 and even 9:00 pm reported they got some and there appeared to be more left. This didn't sell fast at all (although there was some immediate rush between 11:00-11:20 AM) and there's still some leftover today.....hmmmm! Anyway. I'll be interested to see if this does sell out today if they'll remove it from the "available in bottles" slot on their website chalkboard midday or if it'll just be on there all day because it's not updated as the day goes on (fully realizing they update it just before opening daily). Waiting for damn Hop Father to be available before making a run out there for this and looking forward to trying tempo change too. Thanks for listening.

Does anyone know how it compares to "young" 2013 or 2015? So many good AWAs these days and all the DeG distro has me conflicted on making a trip.

I would say it tasted as young as DDG'16, CC'16, and last batch (batch 7 I believe) of Beat, all of those at release time of course since they have since changed being in the bottles.

This assessment is based off of bottle pours of DDG, CC, and Beat....versus the draft pour of newest Beat I got at FWIBF.

Lol, Holla @SDReaper been a long time. 13 fresh was a lemon sour bomb, nice funky backbone. 15 green apple crisp, mellow tart. Nothing compared to Fresh Barrelworks Sour Opal (batch 2) i believe?

Temptation bottles always hang around for a couple weeks if not more.

I'll preface this with, I'm not a good taster.

I don't typically care for Beat, much like I don't care for 3F. They're very astringent, and band-aid tasting to me, almost like some creosote. 3F typically gives me a lot of band-aid taste, where Beat is a moderate band-aid. '15 fresh Beat fresh was very much like this. This year it isn't to me. This years starts off with a light funk, but has a very crisp dry citrus. Clean finish. It has a very light band-aid to me, not a ton of astringency.

I've not had a bottle yet. For note, the bottles were packaged in February.

Thanks. Now im totally intrigued. I love 3F OG, personally, young 3F has a pickle barrel & harsh band-aid that mellows with age. Beat is so damn different each release. Now i have to try and get some btls.

I really like the way they're doing this. In years past it's been on a weekend and working in the beer/restaurant/hospitality industry it makes it tougher to do the weekend releases. I don't think we should get special priority, but this at least gives us a better chance to get some bottles. Granted, I did show up on a monday and get some a couple years ago, but the lines grow longer seemingly every year/release. Cheers to RR for rewarding their regular customers, locals, and industry workers alike.

So how do we know if these are still leftover bottles from the first days allotment of 100 cases or if and when this is a new days full allotment worth of 100 cases just released. Beat hasn't left their "available in bottles" slot on their chalkboard since tues.

While u might wonder why it matters...it's relevant because if there's only 3 cases leftover/available in the am (enough to keep it still listed on the chalkboard as available) and I drive 70 miles out there after work only to find out it wasn't a full allotment release and it's gone I'd be pretty bummed not having known the full release details.

Hit RR yesterday at 5:00 PM to snag some beat in bottles and on tap. There was no wait to get in, the brewery was filled but not overly packed and it was a pleasurable experience with no hassle whatsoever. I was bummed though because when I called 24 hours earlier they randomly mentioned they still had 5 more 3L bottles of Consecration left and that they'd been there for several days but they were gone when I arrived. Would've really capped off a perfect trip. Good job RR on the smooth rollout of Beat this year with the updates on availability on the website (even though it was a little tricky to figure out if what was available was leftover bottles from a prior days release or a new day's release altogether).
