WOW I'm surprised Cuddlebug is landing Beat lol

I was gonna give some Fen Tao for it but now I'm rethinking my strategy to acquire Beat. LOL

I think the main reason for that is that Cuddlebug are getting reviews better than everyone expected, while this batch of Beat is getting mixed reviews from what I heard so far (and that has me a little worried, since it's one of my favorite beers ever)

 

Well, those reviews were from Firestone Invitational and a few other pop up keggings of it that are now several months old and they themselves said it wasn't ready yet at that time.

 

i had it months ago at WFB and it was very young but also very delicious. im convinced this batch will be awesome.

 

I'm perfectly aware of that. I meant the reviews from the CBS last weekend in Sacramento.

 

It was good at Firestone in May. It wasn't great though. I don't think any reviews on here are going to change how many people line up for it.

 

I will miss this release due to unforeseen circumstances. Kind of a bummer but there is always next year

Did you guys not learn from the thread deleted yesterday? Stop with the pick-it-up-for-me shit and just post an ISO:FT. 6 bottle limit really doesn't scream out something that folks are just going to give up their allocation. And if they weren't buying their full order, let those who actually show up in line be able to get first crack at them.

 

No, it wasn't and Vinny said as much. There is a reason it wasn't released until 4 months later.

 

Is this exected to sell out fast now? Last time I cared to trade for Beat was maybe 3 years ago and at 6 bottles per person per day it still lasted 2 months. How long is it expected to last nowadays?

I know the scene has blown up year after year, but as long as they are making as much Beat this year as they were then, its hard to believe it's that crazy.

It's the day after Zwanze day. There are lots of beer people in the area that are not normally here. People are driving up from so-cal.

My guess is it goes in one day. Unless with this new sales system they figure a way to keep people from double dipping... we'll see!

 

This batch is half the size (500 cases vs 1000 cases) of batches 5 and 6.

 

It's really comparable to last year. Case limit and 1,000 cases made - even with people double dipping (and I saw people walking out with 4-5 cases per), it had a few stragglers trickle on until Monday.

I really doubt that is the case this time. Especially with them starting the sales at 8am, ONLY selling it out of the back. I can see them turn around product quickly. Not sure what they'll do to ensure no double dipping. But if it's not good enough and the line is moving efficiently as the set up allows it to, with all the new folks to the beer scene and all the folks who will actually be at Russian River this weekend anyway... yeah, I would not be surprised if it sold out in 1 day.
