Hard to believe a bottle sales line would be a 4-5 hour wait. Is that what they told you?

One guy counted a little over 700 to his spot in line and there were some people behind him. If the speed of sales picks up, I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out by noon.

Bummer. Sucks for local industry folks who have to work weekends. Wish they'd take this into account

That is a bummer but I am sure they (RR) are happy. For them to sell out a beer w/ no internet fees or distributor costs they maximize on their end. Additionally, if they speed up the to-go line enough, the shit-show would be over in a few hours and back to normal business (w/ probably an extra full day inside on a Sunday).

Until someone figures out an online method w/o cost attached to it, I see the crazy line option being continued as it favors the brewery.

This line is moving painfully slow

About every 30mins you may move about 10 yards.

Showed up right before 8am and there is currently a solid 200 behind.

Also heard there is only one person working the sales too so maybe they add a second.

I mean, I get what you're saying but if they do it on a weekday, doesn't that suck for local industry folks who have to work weekdays? You'll never find a way to make everyone happy.

If they really only have one person working sales, that's nuts. I'm hoping the line is slow because they are taking down names on IDs or something like that.

Good luck to those in line.

They have you fill out a paper of what you want, evidently they have 3 people filling the boxes.

They had one of the card scanners go out. There are two people ringing up orders and some guys packaging the orders up.

Got here at 7am. Just turned the corner on E street. I know someone who is 75th in line and he still hasn't checked out. Good times.

Beer releases these days are like global warming. Every year it's just gonna get worse and worse.

Or... you know, they just factor the cost of online sales INTO the cost of the beer? I mean, it's not that difficult to just bump it an extra 60 cents or whatever it is. People aren't (well, I'm sure some will) complain about it and be considered justified in doing so.

I never got the cost of BPT or event brite as a con to using them. The pro is you don't piss off the neighbors/city on having a shit show and having an employee basically be paid all day for slowly moving a line along. Factor the cost of the man power of the few employees who have to have a headache in managing the line.

One big factor is the sale of other bottles. If it was just beat, then it could have easily gone with having boxes default with 6 bottles and if the order was less, it's easier to remove bottles from it. Having the sale of the other bottles does get their product moving, but it slows down the line so that every order is basically custom made painfully slower than if they were just doing Beat only sales in the back.

They just put up a rope indicating that is around the 1000 person mark. If you're not currently in line, don't bother.

Oddly enough, bottles will not be sold out until Tuesday because that's when they'll finally reach that 1000th person.

Besides.. what if people don't buy all six bottl.... ha ha ha, okay, I couldn't finish that sentence. Of course people are going to buy their full allotment. What moron would wait in that line and not sell their plasma to buy all their allotment.

Where is this rope that you speak of? I am in line (still on 4th) and don't see what you're referencing.
