I hope it goes another couple of months. Pretty much no chance I'll be able to get up there before July.

At the Firestone Invitational last month during a guest panel on sour beer making, Vinnie mentioned it's bottled but not yet ready. I believe he stated "3-4 months" at least.

Yeah, I didn't feel it was not as good as B6 and definitely not as good as the Temptation at that event

As much as I hate that you guys got to taste it already, I appreciate the responses... I'll try to pick my jaw up off the floor - Cheers!

    When does Temptation normally hit?

Temptation, just like Beat, is ready when it's ready. Sucks...

Beat wasn't as sour as previous years, I'm wondering if they are really trying to copy the "fresh lambic" flavor with their Sonambic instead of just making a sour, like TONS of breweries are doing now.

I would imagine the "wasn't as sour" is part of the reason it's not ready. But I could be wrong.

I've heard Vinnie mention on various podcasts (most recently The Sour Hour) that he has worked hard to soften the acidity of Sonambic to put it more in line with lambic.

So that could be why you don't perceived it as being as sour, since his goal is to obtain a more "restrained softness" :grinning:

From what Vinnie mentioned it had too much Brett character which he claims will fade with some time. It was bottled "early" because of Wild Friendship Celebration

Don't think anything has changed. As they say, it's ready when it's ready. IIRC, in the past they have announced the release date about a month in advance on Facebook.
