Russian River Beatification Batch 007

And then I think first week in October is FFaC. So many beer releases, so few days...

 

First week of October is FfaC. I doubt they made that statement without looking at a calendar. Vinnie probably wouldn't mind missing the shitshow that will ensue for Beatification...

 

But then he opens himself up to the shitshow that is selling Beat on the same weekend of GABF. Cause the blow back to that shit is just going to be equally strong.

Besides, from the last beat release, he actually looked like he was having a good time when he was making his rounds in the brewpub. I got to chat with him a bit and he seemed to have enjoyed the crowd.

 

I can't imagine them dropping the beat (ha!) the same week they release FfaC. That would be too crazy/busy. Besides they said this on Facebook for all you non facebookers:
"Vinnie and I just decided that we will be pouring our latest batch of Beatification (along with Pliny) at the festival portion of the event on Saturday September 12th. This is a great opportunity for you to try our most unique beer without having to wait in line and fight the crowds when we release it later that month at our already busy brewpub!"

 

Love RR, but I know they will not miss an opportunity to put on a shit show... Uh I mean market their establishment. Beat will not be on the same day as Zwanze, or FfaC. If I ran a business I would make sure the special days were special days, not combined special days, get the customers in the door, by in the door I mean in line around the block, as many different days as possible.

 

Well, we can all keep going back and forth till we're blue in the face. But perhaps we should just wait to see what the plan is on an already busy rest of the month.

Okay, Date and reasoning

Zwanze Day - Hey, everyone's already here for the shit show, let's take it to over drive
GABF - Wait, why isn't any of the actual important people here to see this shit show?
FFaC - Well, we're releasing one thing, may as well just keep the backroom completely filled with boxes and confusion.

Not sure how any of those days makes any logical sense for this one. :shrug:

We're all assuming that it has to be a weekend because it has been that way in the past. Maybe they are going to do a weekday release? I agree that none of the weekends make sense from a logical perspective.

 

Oh man. And we thought the "Don't these fools have jobs?!" comments were off the chain for Mocha Machine.

This is getting interesting.

 

For Beat, I am more than willing to take a day off... possibly even a few days. I mean, I do need a vacation after all.

 

If they release it on Monday the 14th or Tuesday the 15th, I'd consider taking a day off to get up there.

 

Why do the important people need to be there for a bottle release? They don't really do anything that deals with the extra crowd anyway. I really don't get how or why that many people will be upset if it's during GABF. It's like people are expecting breweries to work around their personal schedules. World's tiniest violin for people who get to go to GABF if that means they miss out on Beatification and vice versa.

 

Tix were on a Friday night a month or so before the dinner, which was on a Thursday... and I had to be at work at 6am on Friday after the dinner...
