zwanze day is the day before. There'll be a huge rush early. Should taper off, but it's a tough call.

Given the envrionment we're in with popularity of craft, and how rare (whalzbro!) Beat is, it might not make it. 6,000 bottles, max 6 per, 1000 people get a full pull. You'll get a handful that don't want to drop $120, but not many is my guess... Also depends on how good they are at keeping people from double dipping.

It really is a tough call. Yeah, you'll get some who don't want to go all in, but on the flip side, you'll get plenty who double dip (they always find a way) and come packing that mule game to the extreme and you could very well have all 500 cases sold in a day.

Last time I went Monday and it was a breeze. I guess we'll see if luck is with me or not.

It is a tough call. Look at fundamental observation: same price point, just as hyped, about 3500 bottles I believe, and limit 6. Sold out in about 2 hours.

People from all over the bay area and southern CA are driving up, who knows. I just want to try some

There were 1500-ish bottles available on the release date - "Our public sales of the remaining 1,500ish bottles will start right at 4:00pm tomorrow!"

People have always driven from all over CA to get Beat. That's nothing new. I wouldn't compare it with FO.

I have accepted that I won't be able to make it up to get any Beat due to my engagement party on the 20th. Does anyone know how long, if at all, it will be available on draft?

I'd say until FFaC comes around.

Draft last time around lasted a really really really long time.

I was drinking b6 off draft during Zwanze day of 2014, although it was probably put on as a special occasion.

I stand corrected, they aren't really in the same class. And 44 cases of FO went to distro. Should be an interesting turn out

Thanks for the info guys, that's good to hear I should be able to try it on draft at least. I'll likely be making it up during that week, probably the 24th.

I need the locals' opinions...I am driving up from LA (I know, I'm evil) for the Beat Release...probably won't be going to Zwanze because I don't want to make my lady friend wait in line for 2 shit shows haha.

What other places should I visit? I was thinking of doing Toronado the night before the release and will probably also do Lagunitas. Thinking of hitting Barrelworks on my way back down to LA. Also not trying to break the bank...so if you had to choose between SARA and Rare Barrel? Lol. Any input is appreciated. Cheers!

Haha not trying to break the bank, then you should skip rare barrel. I think all they have now is Home, Sour home (which I enjoy) in bottles to go for $25 and no flights only full pours of draft. SARA would be better if you plan to go to Barrelworks, its kinda on the way back to LA. Its gonna be a pricey trip anyway dropping $120 on Beat

Really depends - are you more into sours or more into pales, porters, etc. SARA is a great place but they don't always have their funky stuff on tap. Their clean beers are pretty great though, so you won't be missing much. Rare Barrel has a great selection of sours on tap all the time - as well as a few guest taps. I would say do both, you won't be spending that much more money.

In SF go the Mikkeller bar, Cellarmaker (a must), and City Beer. You won't be disappointed.

How much time are you expecting to spend up there? Are you driving back right after you get Beat?

I'm gonna be up there 2, maybe 3 days... Will be heading back to LA after Beat, but I am not sure if it will be RIGHT after. Still trying to work out the details...

BeerCraft in Rohnert Park is a must hit spot. Great bottle selection, great stuff on tap. Visible from the freeway as you head up 101 to Russian River... its about 5mi before the downtown Santa Rosa exit.

SARA - hands down. Plus like someone already said, this puts you in better position to hit up Barrelworks afterwards.

As far as the taplist at SARA just check it Saturday on FB or IG and they will most likely have the same offerings on Sunday.
