I had a friend recommend this event. Can anyone give insight on what goes on, who generally participates, what the scene is like? It becomes a camp out, right?

All you can eat bbq...all you can drink beer...Pretty much a 2 day campout.

Well it was for me last year. Usually all the local favorites are there...Russian River, Bear Republic, Lagunitas, Drakes, Moylans, etc.

Great fest that sells out quickly. Every brewery hooks up with a BBQ team. Very popular event with the North Bay breweries. In the past they have had a bus that leaves from the RR parking lot.

What mjl21 said. It's lots of fun, and one of the best atmospheres I've encountered at a beer festival.

    Alright, I'm sold.

They don't have a lot of details on the website just yet. Anyone know about how much tickets are going to run?

2010 was 55.00 according to their previous years flyer.

Can anybody let me know where the best place to camp for this event is? On their website they have a couple listed but being a first timer I have no idea the proximity/facilities etc at these places. I heard you can ride the river down from the event to a couple of the campgrounds...that sounds fun!

It is a lot of fun: sun, good BBQ, great beer, live music. Oh yeah, in the evening Elvis is performing on the deck of the Stumptown Brewery!

I second this inquiry. The Santa Rosa shuttle sounds promising, but if there is a campground I could walk/cab (are cabs feasible?), that would be preferable.

    Tickets on sale this Friday!

Guerneville is 10/15 miles from Santa Rosa. If you stay local, everything is within walking distance.

I couldn't get my friends to commit due to some lame issues. I'm not going this year.

Damn. Well, this makes the second year in a row I won't be going. Here's hoping other people's plans change...

Seems a little ridiculous. How many tickets were allocated for online sales? My parents were pending for the longest time before they were put on the waitlist.

Damn. Thankfully I'll be with Drakes and one of the BBQ companies.
