Have not been on here much the last few months to peruse the forums and I was curious. I tried to get tickets for my wife and I for this event and it sold out in 1 minute. Not exactly sure how that happens as I was on the site refreshing like crazy. I have gone to this event on a host of prior occasions and it is really an excellent time. Was anybody successful in getting tickets to this event and if so, how did you do it? I was also curious if anybody knows where tickets for this event can be currently obtained? I looked on the bay and craigslist and came up empty. It is my 15th wedding anniversary that weekend and I would love to get tickets for this event for my wife who is veteran of many beer festivals (GABF 5 times before it became a clusterfuck) and a lover of bbq and ipas. If anybody has any intel or extra tickets drop me a line. I will make it worth your while for sure. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure you have to by tickets 3 years in advance. Or at least that's what it seems like. I too have always been unsuccessful in procuring tickets. Good luck sir.
Wow surprised by the utter lack of response to this thread. What I get from this is nobody on this site is attending this event, nobody was lucky enough to land tickets and nobody knows where tickets can currently be acquired. What a tough event to be a part of. Who are these mysterious folks who were able to snag a golden ticket? A local BA would love some further intel even if in a private email. Please drop me a line. Thanks
I tried to attend this event as a vendor the last 2 years and it was near impossible to talk to anyone with any information. Being so unresponsive even to the conversation had me put off so I didn't give it any effort this year. Looks like a great time - wish it was ran with some hospitality and consideration.
I think demand is just outstripping supply. I went two years ago, and it was really easy to get tickets. They sold out, but not for a week or two after the on-sale date.
I was lucky enough to get tickets from one of the vendors, but also tried getting more tickets online when they went up...Crazy how fast they went. I'll see if I can dig up some info, but at this point, it seems one must know somebody on the inside to get tickets...which is bs.
I agree that demand obviously is much higher than the supply. But selling out completely in one minute? Something shady going on if you ask me. My inability to get any details from the event organizers or even a return email is extremely frustrating. Never seen a beer event that was so cryptic and guarded and impossible to obtain details about. The person referencing a secret club might be on to something. I went two years ago and tickets were on sale for at least a few days and the event organizers could not have been more responsive. And I am somewhat a local as I grew up in Santa rosa and still visit there frequently. The Russian river was my playground for many a drunken event in high school. Whatever I hope it is 105 degrees out and the BBQ runs out in 2 hrs.
