Russian River bottle limits at the brewery? Thoughts please

I picked up bottles at lunch today and the chalkboard showed limit 6 for Pliny, Blind Pig, and Row 2, Hill 56 bottles

 

Sounds about right, I'm not aware of a limit on the right side of the board, but I don't venture over there often.

 

I'd go to the brewery, then go buy beer to go at Bottle Barn.

 

It was the first time that I noticed it. One local grocery store has a sign that says limit 2 for Pliny and Blind Pig. It doesn't matter when it's sold out within a few hours of the delivery...

I stand corrected. Buy at both places I guess if he wants to stock up a bit

 

If he doesn't go on Fri, the only thing he's going to find at BB is Temptation.

 

All of the hoppy beers are super fresh right now. Row 2/Hill 56 was bottled today (8/26), Pliny (8/23), and Blind Pig (8/21). I'm guessing they will all be there later this week with six bottle limits on each beer...

They also will do 2L growlers of anything except the sours and OVL Stout. Have a good trip up here.

 

...and in the case of OVL Stout, you ain't missing anything...

 

When I was there earlier this year, they gave me a piece of paper, I wrote down my order (about 36 beers), gave it to the waitress, they packed up boxes and brought them to my table. Easy. They never told me anything about bottle limits.

 

The limits are a relatively new thing. I was there in early July and people were walking out with cases.

 

I usually have a friend who only wants one or the other. We usually max out, and just swap bottles. It's not like a daily limit of 6 bottles per person is all that low. If that's low for anybody, take a friend.

 

Yeah, it's kind of a "would you rather" situation. Would you rather be able to buy six Elders at the brewery or possibly zero because every asshole that came in since the last bottling brought home a case?

If you're looking for anything that's harder to find than Temptation, you're out of luck.
