I heard Pliny is limited to 4-6 bottles at the brewery. Is that all of their bottles or just Pliny? If it's all of them, will they sell you 4-6 of each variety or 4-6 total?
This should and probably will be moved to the Pacific forum. When I was there recently, I bought a mixed sixer of Blind Pig, Pliny, Consecration, Supplication, Temptation, and Sanctification. I was under the impression that I could've gotten more of any of them, so I assume the bottle limits are higher than six, period.
I was able to purchase a case each (12 bottles) of the 3 beers I got in July. I didn't ask for more but no one said anything about limits at that time. Although everything is subject to change. When I went to Alpine 3 weeks ago they had a three bottle limit per beer, something I had not dealt with before. Popularity and hoarding come into play I imagine.
I don't know the numbers currently, but AFAIK it's only ever been per-variety (e.g., 6 Pliny & 6 Blind Pig). Although they are often fudge-able too.
The limits can vary based on stock. I was there last Sunday and it was a 12 limit on Pliny, 6 limit on Blind Pig, no limit on the sours. I've been there when they were completely out of Pliny so while you typically can count on those bottles, it's not a sure thing.
Was there a few hours ago. The board says 12 Pliny and 6 Pig for the limits. And just in case anyone wants to know...it's a 3 growler limit per group for Hopfather if it's still on tap. One of the guys told us it was running low this afternoon.
