Have one day left in Philly and I have searched past threads. Trying to find unrefrigerated bottles of Russian River Consecration and/or Supplication/Temptation...finally found some Damnation at Bottle Bar East. Have checked both local foodery locations and the bar connected with Ultimo coffee. Going to call Local 44 but wondering about any other bottle shops you guys might recommend (staying in Center City). BTW - went to Moore's and it was totally killer...flying back to Boston so couldn't get a case but what a solid assortment.

Local 44 should still have some Consecration on the shelves. It was there on Thursday and doesn't move fast. Beer Heaven (not center city, but not far) is probably you're second best bet.

Beer heaven is out I believe. I was there last Sunday and they only had 1 bottle of temptation left(which I bought). Craftbeer outlet still had some temptation as of last Sunday.

I was able to grab some Consecration at Local 44 to go with my Damnation. Thanks for the feedback......love the format of these bottle shop restaurant/cafe's in the Philly area. Wish we had this in Mass.

Bleh, no you don't. All it does is cause prices to be horrendous.

    Reason for them being unrefrigerated?

yeah hopefully the OP realizes you can let refrigerated beer warm back up with no ill effect, unless we're talking extreme temperatures.

It is. I found it in multiple places in Philly when I was there last weekend and I even found it back home in Pittsburgh this weekend. Its quite easy to find.

Hey Guys - looking to see if I could refresh this post instead of opening my own. I'll be in Philly for one day (23rd) and wanted to see if there are any places I should definitely check out for Russian River bottles. I'll be in Center City and without a car so something within reasonable public transit distance would be appreciated.

Anyone know of a place with Temptation still? Looking to get a couple bottles while I'm in town. Thanks!

Local 44 will almost certainly have Consecration - it's about a 15-20 minute bus ride from CC. Take the 42, it will drop you off right outside. They have also Supplication sometimes and Temptation occasionally.

Closer by in CC, there are Foodery locations at 10th and Pine & 16th and Sansom. If you tweet them @CornerFoodery, I have found they are very responsive.

Also within walking distance, depending on where you are in CC, is Old Philly Ale House on 20th and Brandywine. They pretty much always have RR in stock, but they seem to sell through the sours pretty quickly. The owner is usually there, so if you call ahead, she'll let you know exactly what they have.

Finally, some bars will sell you bottles to go. If you manage to find a bar that has them on the menu, you may have the option to purchase some for takeaway. It never hurts to ask.
