Hey, heading to Philly this summer and am wondering where to go to find some Russian River... On tap, but more importantly in bottles? Thanks for the help!

I almost bought a case of Consecration a bit ago, but the mule didnt realize that it was by the case only. Be warned that the case (which is the only way you can buy from a store) was around $90. If you want a single, you gotta pay bar prices. stupid archaic PA liquor laws.

Right. Forgot that. Better off just trying a few at area bars? Any RR mixed packs or is that a dumb question?

Generally bars will have a higher per bottle than do "bottle shops." In PA those are typically places that serve both food and beer for consumption on the premises but also sell bottles for take out. Philly has some well stocked bottle shops but something like Supplication will cost you about $15-17 the bottle and you won't find any RR IPAs in the bottle at all. If you can make it to the suburbs you'll find bottle shops such as Pinocchios's and Capone's tend to have a bit lower prices (sales tax is lower, etc.).

Edit: This place in the suburbs almost always has bottles in stock when I stop by there. And no, no six packs.

A CASE was $90? That is DIRT CHEAP. You sure about that? Brewery case price would be $144 for Consecration.

Agreed, doubt it was $90. As mentioned no Pliny or Blind Pig bottles in Philly area, but you should be able to find the -tions in bottle shops, $6-8 for the Belgians and $13-18 for the sours. And you can certainly find cases but I'd expect $120-150/case for sours

OP, where will you be in city/burbs?

Brother-in-law's brother is getting married in Media, PA do we're meeting the family there, but we plan on staying in the city. Not exactly sure where yet. Any ideas where good places to find Pliny and/or Blind Pig on tap?

Media has Pinocchios which is a very good place for bottles. (See the reviews.)

When in the area, for on tap stuff check out the link in the post by NiceTaps.

Another link that may be helpful for finding on tap stuff is beermenus.com. As you can see from the link below, currently there is one place has Pliny the Elder on tap.

Devon Whole Foods has Supplication now. And it's usually $12 or $12.50 a bottle. Would need to drive to the burbs though.
