Is it possible to hit all three of these bad boys in one day? Wife and I will be in San Fransisco and were planning on renting a car and trying to get these three breweries in during our trip.

In terms of geography, yes. Lagunitas is ~20 min south of RR, Bear is about 20 min north. Whether or not you'll be sober enough to do it is an entirely different question.

I plan on having a designated driver (wife).

I'd do it on a Wednesday or Thursday. Lagunitas is closed Monday and Tuesday. RR and Lagunitas are packed F-Su.

Thanks for the heads up. Haven't gotten that far into planning. Wouldn't be happy if I flew a few thousand miles to pull up to Lagunitas for it to be closed.

Marin and Moylans are right off the freeway too. Not my favs but just wanted to toss it out there. Moylans usually has something fun on each time I stop, and its super easy on and off the freeway.

^^^Beercraft is also right off the freeway and they usually have some interesting taps and good bottle offerings.

Everytime I make the trip to RRBC, I only make it through RRBC and we never make it anywhere else. I would moderate expectations and pace carefully unless you are a human tank and/or your wife has the patience of a nun.

Did it a couple years ago. Times may have changed and traffic(vehicles and patrons) may have increased making it more difficult. Hit up Russian River as soon as they open, then go North to Bear Republic and finish things off at Lagunitas.

Did RR this sunday, beautiful day and it was a 15 minute wait at arod 1:30 pm. Was a bit lucky. The biggest question for you is if you want to go to one of those breweries after trying the other two first. Even if you are just buzzed your taste buds could be pretty shot by then.

While I have not visited Bear Republic recently I've had very enjoyable times there. We try to get to RR right when they open and enjoy several hours there then head down to Lagunitas and then do the same. Wherever you chose to go, you'll have a good time. Let us know how your trip went.

I'm actually doing this same thing Thursday. RR for lunch as soon as they open, Bear after that. Then checking into the motel 6 right next to Lagunitas so my DD can have a good time that night.

My recent visit was a month ago. We hit all 3 in 2 days. 1st day we hit Lagunitas first and then over to RRBC. 2nd day we hit Bear Republic and then back over to RRBC. Been to RRBC and Bear before this trip. Lagunitas was a first timer. Of the 3 I thought Bear had the best food choices (and better $). Lagunitas was the better tasting room (atmosphere). RRBC had the better beers.

St. Florians is right off of the freeway in Windsor. Solid line up, check website for taproom times.

Bear Republic is skippable if you're low on time, but i suppose worth it if you've never been to scratch off the list

be prepared for Guy Fieri-esque interior decor and nothing special on tap

I feel like I am in a win win (win) situation here. I'm excited about wherever I end up and can't wait to get out to the west coast. Thanks for all the feedback.

You'll be happy with that RR sampler.

Edit: I would prob recommend starting there because sometimes the wait on said sampler is upwards of an hour.
