I'm pretty sure they've had a limit for a while now. A few weeks ago I picked up 12 with my older brother to ship to his buddy.

And definitely go check out Bottle Barn. The Russian River beers that they do have are almost never the same. You can almost always count on Blind Pig and Pliny though. The others are rotating.

Wonder if that is the new rule or was done due to all of the people coming and going to Boonville.

It changed earlier, I was there when they were still doing 12 the monday before DLD and amir was saying they were going to lower it again.

Jews for Pliny  Yes it was 6 bottles this past weekend. Apparently they skipped their SF deliveries today as well. The world is going to end now.

Do they ever run out of Pliny? Bottle and draft?
I'll be making my first pilgrimage next Sunday the 19th.
    *fingers crossed*

Both happen from time to time, but pretty rare. I don't think I have ever seen both gone at the same time personally.

Your bigger concern will be getting into RR. The Amgen Tour of California bike race ends in downtown Santa Rosa that day. Expect huge crowds as the race goes right in front of the brewery.

    Thanks!
I'll be damned that Lagunitas is having a circus event that day also. Tickets are sold out.
I am only in town 1 day. What time does this race end?

For what it's worth.....Bear republic is about a 15 minute drive north of RR, since Lagunitas is having the circus and RR the bike race thing.

Also, I was there on Sat 5/4 and can confirm the 6 bottle limit per person. And if you go in a group or try to bring mules for more, if you sit at a table be prepared.....it's a 12 bottle limit for the entire table no matter how many are in your party.

I was majorly bummed as it was my birthday and I was looking to bring more than 6 pliny home with me. So, I purchased my 6 bottle limit of pliny and 6 of pig, then filled 2 growlers to go, and called it a day. (also looks like they are getting close to taking any breweries growlers, for fills. As they have a new custom growler tag but don't take them just yet they are still waiting for some kind of approval)

But what I really want to know is where the hell all the Pliny is going???? I thought when they pulled out of Washington, it would be easier to get and I would see more of it.....instead it seems the opposite. LA and San Diego peeps are having an easier time getting it than I am and I'm only 2 hours from the brewery. It's almost as if they are creating there own self made shortage LOL......Not sure what's going on but this is getting frustrating. I asked the waitress what was going on with the shrinking limit and she said they have been running out almost daily of bottles of Pliny. So they cut it to 6 to try to have enough for everyone that comes by that wants some, so no one leaves disappointed. I understand the no one leaving disappointed part but this is the brewery, come on.

Keep in mind that RR self distributes in the North Bay, SF, and East Bay. If you are two hours away (guessing Sacramento or San Jose) you are dealing with shops that rely on DBI for distribution. RR is holding back more bottles to sell at their brewpub and to accounts in their self distribution network as there is more profit. I can't blame them for the move.

I'm wondering if it isn't a wider distribution thing, but a raw material scarcity thing. There was definitely something 'off' with the 3.8 batch and the ones around it (to me) weren't quite Pliny. The 4.30 (I could be wrong on the exact date) batch seemed closer to what I remember, so who knows.

6 bottles sucks, but it is 6 bottles of a world class beer, which is better than none. And add 6 - 12 bottles of Blind Pig, you are living (and drinking) really well.

Was there Friday and bought 12 and saw a couple of people buy a case. It was also bottled 5/9.

I have never had a limit on anything from RR with exception or FFAC, Beatification, and T25

Brother just got back from RR today and they only let him get 12 Pliny and they were dated 5/13. One day old can't wait to drink one!
