This is related, but slightly off-topic:

Can I get any RR brews on the east coast? I'm in CT, and I keep an eagle eye out for them, and I've seen nothing.

seekabrew.com. And no, you can't really, unless you drive to Philly.

That website is pretty useful! Sadly, though, it doesn't help me get my hands on some RR (I am NOT driving to Philly). /sadface

pretty sure east coast buddies have reported finding RR products in the Philadelphia area, not sure of other areas and haven't found any elsewhere myself. Philadelphia may be your best bet.

They ran out of draft Pliny a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time I had ever seen that happen.

For Younger year 2012, there was at least a one week period where you couldn't find a bottle of Pliny anywhere. Those are the only examples that I've ever been aware of.

Was just at the brewery, and they were out of both Pliny and Supplication bottles. I'm assuming the Amgen bike race had something to do with it, but I'm really hoping Supplication doesn't go the way of Temptation and not be brewed again for a while

Yeah temptation gone is extremely disappointing, the final batch was the best in recent memory

Temptation will not be brewed again for a while? Or just the length bewtween the most 2 recent batches was too long?

I heard this same rumor too and am wondering what is true...

I've heard from pretty reputable sources that those rumors are utter horseshit and it's coming out this year just like every year. They don't brew enough to last a year so there's a dry spell for a few months.

I would be surprised if they didn't. That's good to hear though, temptation ftw!

Another BA posted that they had been told it wouldn't be released again until 2015. I've asked on two separate occassions, the first time the bartender told me they had no idea when it would be brewed again, and the second time a different bartender told me that the base beer hadn't even begun being brewed yet, then of course it has to be aged in wine barrels. I have yet to be told when they actually expect Temp to be back

On the plus side, they now have Pliny bottles back in stock. That was quick. Still no Supplication though

    *Edited for clarity

That's my understanding but I heard the exact same thing Dagsy said. Rumors are rumors though.

The thing is that what he said makes no fucking sense. They use Temptation for FfaC, so of course it gets brewed every year (unless, of course, they're going back to a Beat base (doubtful) or aren't doing it for a year (even more doubtful)). Plus it's one of their 3 main barrel-aged sours, they're not going a year without making it.

Someone (unreliable source) told me that they couldn't get enough barrels for Temp. But a Beat base could be spot on seeing that Beat is supposed to be released closer to the FfaC release date.

...They couldn't get enough Chardonnay barrels? In Sonoma? Ooooooookay.

This is incredibly possible. 2012 harvest was massive and there wasn't a used white barrel to be had (and those that were available were 3x what they normally cost).

Well I just up and e-mailed Vinnie, it's coming out this year. No more rumors, no more inanity. It's coming out this summer, not sure exactly when, but it's coming out this year.

    And there was much rejoicing.
