You should make a thread about it. The person that told me is on here. Dispell the rumor.

I didn't even want to post it in this thread, I don't really like telling people things that may have been told to me in confidence (even though expecting an e-mail to be kept confidential is a terrible expectation, I'd rather not burn Vinnie). But the rumor-mongering was driving me nuts. You can e-mail them (info@russianriver) and post whatever reply you get, if you want to make a thread.

Eh. Or we can let the rumor keep going and watch the value of Temptation go up for the next month.

Very happy to hear it. Sorry to everyone for adding fuel to the rumor, just repeating what I was told from the bartenders. Can't wait to have Temptation back

It has come out the last three years in July or early August, so that would be my guess for this year as well. As always though, these types of beers are ready when they are ready.

Any chance beatification came up during that communication?

Didn't ask. I think they're more secretive about Beat, I'm fine knowing when we know on that one. But, seriously, they're responsive to e-mails, just e-mail them if there's something you want to know.

I have emailed before to the general email address and have been referred to the Facebook page. I don't care too much as this forum will blow up when beat gets released. I'm sure tons of beer geeks bug the shit out of them daily.

Hah, Russian River prices are whatever Vinnie decides that day. Once he figured out he was a deity in the beer world he realized that he can do whatever he wants and his fans will continue to worship the ground he walks on, unconditionally.

You obviously have never met Vinnie before, or spent much time at Russian River.

Vinnie is one of the nicest people you won't have the pleasure of meeting. On the other hand you and I are anonymous trolls on a beer website.

Guess we should strike "the bartenders at Russian River" from the list of people who know what the hell is going on with beer releases at Russian River, eh?

Alternatively, include them on the list of people who lie to amuse themselves. Maybe both, just to be safe.

If they really wanted to screw with people, they'd start rumors about silent Beatification releases.

I don't think anyone working there is that mean. Alternatively, I don't think anyone there is that insane, Natalie would probably be very annoyed about suddenly fielding a thousand Beat questions on FB.

It sounds like several of us went to RR around the same time a few months ago and were told similar things. Glad to hear that we were provided incorrect information by a couple of the staff. Thank you for the information and update...I'll get you a round of Pliny Bites and beer of your choice if we should cross paths (no I am not being sarcastic, I am serious)

Pliny bites with ranch are magical.

Also, just to be sure I asked Natalie while she was packing up their booth at FWI, she said it was bottled last week, should be out in a few months. I'd guess that they had the new one on tap there, but I didn't brave their permaline to get any.

What is the going rate for RR sours at Bottle Barn? I know the brewpub has them for about $12 which is the going rate at Whole Foods. OL in Walnut Creek used to sell them for $10, but now are up to $11. City Beer has them for $13, I believe.

So basically, I'm trying to find the cheapest seller of their sours.
