Hi I was hoping a Russian River area local would be able to answer a few questions for me. 1) Are there any bottle limits for purchasing at the brewpub? I was hoping to get a mixed case of sours when I visit. 2) I heard there are huge waits on the weekend. Anyone have any idea what the wait will be on a weekday in the afternoon? I know there are no guarantees but I am just wondering about estimates. Thank you for your help! -Matt
Yes. Depends on stock but usually 6 IPA (Pliny/Pig), 12 Sour per person. Double that per table. Weekday afternoon should be less than 30 min. They're in the process of adding a To-Go counter to speed things up too. On the weekends to-go can be 45min to an hour and the wait for a table can be over 2 hours.
I thought that the table rule sucked (for tables bigger than 2 people), especially if you're with other people who all want pliny/blind pig to go and don't live together. But I'm sure it helps keep Pliny available for everyone. My advice is, eat and enjoy your beers... then go to the "to go" section near the merchandise and order your beers for home. The wait really varies even on the weekdays, I've seen it from no wait to an hour. Weekends are usually always busy unless your'e early. Sundays are all day happy hour (weekdays 4-6?). But you're always welcome to grab a beer at bar while waiting for a table, they give you a call when your'e table is ready.
I always go on a Sunday and get there ten minutes before they open (11am). There's never been more than five people ahead of me in the line. By 11.30am, every table is taken. We eat lunch and order bottles to go from the wait staff. Be sure to order bottles when you order your food, as I've once had them sell out of Pliny in the time it took us to eat lunch!
