I asked last year and he said they would do it this year. Buuuut I think last year they just sorta forgot about it then didn't have space, so who knows.

Seems like Esteem Beer was a semi-regular at the Brewery in August/September(?) time frame. Loved that stuff

Yep - "More Cowbell" will be a 7% ish IPA brewed for a benefit. If I remember the conversation with the bartender who works there correctly it is being brewed for a charity that Vinnie supports and I do believe it'll be using some more experimental hops. I said - this sounds awesome but why didn't he just brew Hopfather for the benefit. We need more hopfather!

This bad better not come out while I'm in Europe, I really don't want to miss a one-off RR IPA!

Is Pliny the Younger going to be bottled?

I wonder if Younger is made with a special hop variety that is only available at that time of year; once. If not, it would be a shame for them not to bottle it.

I'm picturing it now... I'm thinking yellow 500ml bottles for around $7. Sounds like a deal that won't last.

I was being sarcastic. Vinnie and RR have stated over and over again that Younger will never ever be bottled. It takes up too much time in their brewing calendar. Most accounts get limited Pliny and hardly any Blind Pig in 2wks-4wks after Younger comes out. Younger also uses a shitload of hops but not a special variety thats available once a year, hops are harvested every fall and can be kept in a freezer for up to 3-4 years if stored properly. If anything they use a lot of Simcoe in Elder which is a hop in short quantities right now.

Not to mention Row 2, which is Simcoe only and on the verge of being bottled...

I think the beer buyer at my store is about to haul off and punch me. That's how often I've been reminding him to order some.

Is it going into general release? I always assumed it would be like "It takes a lot of great beer to make a great wine" (what a terrible name), with bottles only at the pub.

From what I understand it will see limited distribution, and probably only in NorCal (ie City Beer, Healthy Spirits, Beer Rev, and some Whole Foods locations). I'm not at all certain about this, but it's what I've been led to believe.

This stuff is sooo good. I can't get enough of it. The last 2 times I went to RR, no Row 2. That stuff is flying out of the taps!

Salvation is in bottles now! I just picked up 4 bottles. I think the only other time I had this was when I got the tasting flight.
