I will be going to Sacramento on business and wanted to get my hands on some Russian River stuff. Is there any to be found in Sacramento or will I need to take the 2 hour drive to Santa Rosa?

On draft Pliny is pretty easy to find. Bottled is too if you're here the week it drops. I tend to see bottles hit the area every 3 or 4 weeks. Sours aren't as common, I would suggest just going to the brewery if you are looking to stock up on bottles of their stuff.

Thanks. I will try to ride out there then. I want to fill an entire box to check on my flight.

Either go to the source or try to set up an IPT.

Pliny bottles drop every 3-4 weeks in sac? Lol what!?!

3-4 months is more like it. And gois luck finding them, they seek out everywhere In a day or two, even at the bars.
THe majority of the time you can find it on draft somewhere. But not always.

Just did this last weekend, actually. Highly recommended, and the drive's actually nice as long as it stays at two hours or less.

If you're renting a car just to head to Santa Rosa, it's only $17 or so.

Go to the brewpub, it's worth the visit. Have dinner, enjoy yourself. Take the 80 to the 12.

Yep, there's literally zero downside to visiting the brewery. It's a great half-day (or more!) of good food, friendly folks, and fresh Pliny flowing like a river. The sour tasting boards are awesome, too.

Like everyone else said the drive isnt bad at all. I assume you will be going midweek though? The weekends get a little bit crazy, especially with good weather. Worse case scenario, if you do an IP Trade someone (maybe myself) can hook you up. Also if you like sours and have time, you can drive or train to Rare Barrel from downtown sac pretty quickly.

...and while you're in sac hit Track 7 and Bike Dog!

Pliny gets here quite often. usually once or twice a month. Send me a message before you come and I could probably get you a bottle or 2.
