I remember the price of it being pretty high... guess I'm glad I didn't join with that lineup.

Glad i didnt get involved with that. Seems a little pricey for those selections.

I am on the waiting list for 2015 until Sunday. After that they re-open to the public. Still on the fence about signing up. Would like to know more about the selection. Is there lots of raritiest that one couldn't find in stores? For example, anything along the lines of Firestone Walker barrel beers (Parabola, Sucaba, Velvet Merkin)? Bells Black Note? Bourbon county bomber size releases? BBPt5? Any of these would probably warrant me signing up. Anyone who is a member please give me an idea I what you've received. Thank you.

I was a club member this past year (2014). I was disappointed by the selections (nothing along the lines you mention.) I cannot recall one beer that I could not have obtained myself fairly easily. And I am by no means a truck chaser or someone who leaves work early to hit the local bottle shop. I do not plan to join again. I have spoken with other members who were similarly disappointed.

"A waste" might be a bit harsh. But I would certainly say that the bottles provided did not approach my expectations. The original advertisement made it very clear that their beer director Greg Engert (also of Church Key) would be curating the selections. Greg's reputation precedes him. His bottle club selections have diminished that reputation.

Seems like Greg's been coasting on his reputation in a number of areas lately . . .
