And Rusty is now on tap at Nectar in Kendall Yards.

Was able to try it yesterday at the brewery. Sadly, per a tweet from them earlier today, the brewery is sold out.

Walked in to BTBS today just as Jason was coming out of the cooler with a bottle in hand. No line, so it must mean there's still no rare WA beer.

I can follow this line of logic.

Oh, man. I wish I'd seen this last night. I'm at Selkirk Abbey right now and have just about drunk my fill. Probably won't make it there tonight, if it's still on.

Any chance this is still available somewhere in Portland?

In all honesty, there is virtually zero chance of finding any bottles. A number of places got kegs, so you might find it on tap someplace, but I think that's really your only hope.

I was in a bottle shop not in my town a couple days ago, and, just for grins, I asked if he happened to have any RN left. Dude gives me a dirty look and says, that for him to have gotten one case, he would have had to commit to buying X number of Fremont kegs. Enough so that it would have basically given Fremont a dedicated handle. There was 1 bottle of '15 C&C BBomb on the shelf though. Oh, and, I encountered Pallet Jack for the first time. I had 3. Y'all can keep the trendy, kool, hip SunnyDelite beers, I'll just keep pouring that PJ down my throat.

I could see stores that sold a lot of Fremont in the past year getting some RN, but I can't imagine Fremont engaging in pay to play activities like this guy is suggesting.

Agreed. Sounds like hyperbole or just plain sour grapes. If his supposition were accurate, then how would a place like the West Linn MoC get a case? They don't sell any draft beer there, and they sure don't carry a huge Fremont portfolio. They do, however, carry a pretty large selection of beer supplied by the distributor that represents Fremont in the PDX area (Columbia?).

That being said, I agree whole heartedly with Terry's comments about pallet jack. I love having PJ as my fall back, "gee I don't see anything else on tap that tickles my fancy, I guess I'll just have to get a glass of PJ IPA. Woe is me..."

One of the gents at my favorite Growler Guys location shows this great half-smile when I step up to the counter and act like I'm going to pick up a growler of something other than Pallet Jack.

Well, I didn't take it to mean that someone from the brewery said it, but I have no reason to doubt that a salesman for the distributor would say it. Salesmen gonna use whatever tactics they think they need to. As far as the West Linn store, Fremont is making a big introduction into Oregon, so I could see could that distributor using a beer like RN as an incentive to carry more Universale or Interurban. Shrug. But yeah, if this place had PJ, I hope to start seeing it around Bham more.

Made a run over to Idaho on Wednesday. Asked about RN at Enoteca and they hadn't gotten any yet and believed no one in Idaho had. Put my name down for being interested in a couple bottles and in theory will be called if/when it comes in.

I don't normally do this but, since I drank a belly full of Rusty Nail over the week or so it was on tap at the UBG, I thought I'd pass along that Norm's Eatery in Fremont just posted on Facebook a picture of the keg of RN they just received. If you haven't been there, it's a dog-friendly restaurant with really good food and a number of good taps. Give 'em a try.

That place has always been on my hitlist for Seattle, and I still haven't hit it. Must rectify that soon.

Let me know when you plan on making those rectifications, and the first round's on me. I live real near by and my dog loves that place

Hey, I just said the first round. After that my crystal ball gets hazy. But there's plenty of other options in stumblin' distance as well...

Glad you finally got some PJ Terry. Sounds odd that the one shop said Fremont asked them to buy X amount of beer to get a case though. All of the cases and were allocated...a while ago. I don't think purchasing 5 Interurban 1/2's would have any impact on getting RN, or the Lamb for that matter.

Back to the BB note, it is in Bellingham every now and then. We've had multiple kegs of PJ through the Station, as well as Hand Truck, Head Shake, and a few others. It does come in waves though, it isn't super consistent yet.

Those kegs of PJ must blow fairly quickly judging by the rate ES runs through similar stuff.
