Nelson, cane and ebel sounds like the type of stuff I'd be after, not on top 50 rated via style but highly recommended

+1 on Boulevard Rye-On-Rye, that's a huge beer but it's delicious (and still available here in Houston...happy to work out something with you if you'd like)!

Also here in Texas we have Real Ale's Full Moon Rye and Roggenbier plus Jester King Wytchmaker. All quality rye-based beers.

    Cheers!

I saw this on a tap list at Bodega in Columbus, but it blew earlier. I was soooo pissed. I was exicted and ordered it over FFF Blackheart and other great locals which I eventually had.

It hasn't been mentioned what time of the year it will be released, yet. But I would guess spring or summer..

Founders Red Rye is arguebly the best so not sure why you think it is not trade worthy if it is not in the receipents distribution. Other than a couple beers, rye beers are extremely local and limited. The way it should be. Rye-On-Rye is not really worth it imho.

Rye-on-Rye is most definitely worth it, but it is like drinking a Manhatten.

I actually hate the Rye Beer category on this site, as the beers mostly fit other styles and the Rye is usually a secondary ingredient. That said, my favorites are:

    Boulevard Rye-on-Rye - Strong Ale
    Founders Red's Rye - IPA
    SurlyFest - Marzen
Schell's Emerald Rye - Hoppy Lager
Goose Island Mild Winter - Mild (sorta)

If you're ever Maine, Rising Tide's Daymark is a delicious hoppy rye beer.

Two Brothers Cain and Abel is one of my favorites as it introduced me to the style. Brew Kettle is bottling their Ruddy Rye which is pretty smooth, but not aggressive enough for me.
