Agreed. Reuben's Imperial Rye IPA and the Roasted Rye are two of the best rye beers I've ever had.

I'm not a particularly huge fan of the style, but I was very impressed with StoneFace's India Red Rye Ale in case you find yourself in New Hampshire. I actually liked it better than their straight IPA, which was not at all how I was expecting things to go.

Hop. Rod. Rye. Bear. Republic. Big, ballsy rye spice comingled with brown sugar sweet malt, piney hops, and maybe even a dash of cocoa. Long been the king for me. Though, as @surfcaster said, One Claw, albeit in a way different direction, is awful tasty too -- softer, really nicely balanced peppy rye spice along with doughy, sweetish malt and a nice citrus hop complement. I assume the BR is available in your neck of the woods, while the One Claw ain't, but both are worth tracking down.

This is my choice too. We have a few Westbrook beers here but I haven't seen One Claw, will be on the look out when in the southeast. But Hop Rod Rye is the best I've had.

I had a couple of Bell's Smitten Rye Pale Ales the other night and I thought it was a really good beer... plenty hoppy enough to be an IPA even though it's not labeled as such.

Terrapin Rye is a good one that's a bit more mellow, highly quaffable that sadly may not be available in Ill. I'm waiting for Terrapin to bring the goods up north & join the trail Sweetwater recently opened up this way...Always been more into Terrapin than Sweetwater myself...
Jackie O's Hop Ryot is another good offering in can form.

I don't see anything here I'd disagree with, and the only "rye beers" - per BA's categorizations - that I didn't see mentioned were Rugbrød from The Bruery and Kentucky Ryed Chiquen from Against the Grain (had feathers glued to the neck of the bottle ), and although I don't think they were IPAs, if you like rye ale, they were certainly that

Not quite an IPA but it should be. I had Cathedral's Repent Rye recently & though it's listed as a barleywine, the combo of hops & rye blew my mind. An absolutely fantastic beer.

I think Rye IPA's are my favorite style. If you ever run across Warped Wing Flyin' Rye, give that a try. It's from a brewery in Dayton, OH. One of my favorites.
