Same here. Very glad it's in cans now, you guys. Gonna pound them throughout the whole Fall semester.

I already went through two 12 packs if the cans and one 12 pack of the bottles. Tastes just how I remember it.

Drunk or not, but I did notice that with SAO in particular the choice of glassware is paramount. I had it from a 10-oz goblet, small tasting glass, pint glass and a 22-oz tall ice tea glass, as well as straight from the can. The first three tasted weird--all five came from the same 12-pack, of which I still have half. The goblet and tasting glass made it taste bitter with some off-notes that you might be interpreting as "corn". But out of the ice-tea glass it almost tasted like a good doppelbock. I'm yet to try it out of a big glass mug, but I bet this would be a success too. Note that most branded Oktoberfest glassware is either mugs or tall cylinders with or without stem, so the ice-tea glass doesn't sound far off. The really strange thing was that it tasted awful in a tasting glass.

Just confirmed it--poured into a 24-oz straight-walled IKEA glass mug. Tastes marvelous. The common element seems to be tall cylinder. I wonder what it would taste like from standard Stangen.

Maybe Sam Adams Octoberfest is best consumed via this glass?

I've got 4 or 5 of the Sam Adams glasses and I usually drink it from those. Tastes fine to me. I can't actually detect a huge difference between glass and straight from the can, although it is a pretty color.

Well I had to pick this up because I like trying new things. I wouldnt say it tastes a lot like an AAL but I wouldnt say I really enjoyed it. Just not really my thing I guess. I remember having it last year and not really liking it so I wanted to try it in cans. Im a guy who doesnt need hoppy hoppy beers to be satisfied and obviously this beer isnt hoppy but I wouldnt say its full of flavor either. Corn flavor ? SA doesnt use corn so I dont know why you would taste that.
