Went to Sabatini's in Exeter, PA for the first time last night. Why the hell had I never heard of this place until some random, third-degree acquaintance mentioned it? And why isn't it mentioned here on BA a lot more often? Easily the best beer bottle shop I've set foot into, and I've set foot into a lot. Maybe because it's not full of haze cans? I really couldn't believe my eyes. Thoughts?
If I were close I'd be there @JayORear, the fact that I know you travel and frequent many places tells me it must be an amazing shop. Well, next time I'm in Exeter...if ever
Is this the pizza place? Went to school in Wilkes Barre and the pizza was amazing if it's the same. Way before craft beer was a thing though so I'm pretty sure the bottle shop probably wasn't there and even if it was, I probably wasn't interested given the types of beers I was drinking at the time haha. Will have to check out next time I'm in the area. Enjoy!
The bottle shop is across the parking lot from the original pizza place. The bottle shop opened in 2015, and also serves pizza. I'll see about posting some pics later today.
I think no one talks about it because it’s in Exeter PA. But yeah, it’s pretty awesome. Pizza ain’t bad either.
It seems as though Sabatini’s, as well as The Loading Dock in Dunmore, have the most exclusive beer accounts in Northeast PA. Loading Dock added a large to-go area right around the onset of the pandemic and makes for a very easy stop off the I-81/84 connection. But since this is a Sab’s thread, the bottle shop/bar used to be a laser tag/arcade owned by the same family.
