I'll be spending two weeks in Sacramento for work here soon. What's the beer scene like up that way? Anything I should absolutely check out?

There's several threads on Sac, but I'd definitely recommend Track 7, Device, and Bike Dog breweries. There's plenty of other good tap rooms, and Corti Bros has a good bottle selection. If you're willing to travel a bit then I'd recommend Berryessa Brewing in Winters, Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, and Knee Deep Brewing in Auburn.

Those are the 3 best breweries in Sacramento. A tap room to check out I would say cap tap room for food and beer i would say hot city pizza, the shack, and low brau

I travel to Sacramento for work semi-regularly. If you like burgers, I really enjoyed Burgers & Brew on R Street. The day I visited, they had Russian River on tap, but I had their house brown ale. It was a solid beer and paired well with my buffalo burger I had.

Since you have two weeks, if you want to visit other breweries/brewpubs aside from the ones listed above, there is Rubicon in the midtown area. Beers and food were just okay, but they had specials throughout the week, and was packed on certain days.

Sacramento's beer scene has really taken off, there are plenty of options for you posted above.
Also don't forget Yolo Brewery which is very close to Bike Dog.

A quick search of this forum should give you several more places to visit.

    Enjoy

Will you have a rental car? If so, and assuming you will have some down time since you will be there for 2 weeks, go to Russian River. About a 2 hr drive from Sac airport.

I would add Mraz to the list of Sacramento area breweries to hit. If you see Altamont beer on tap at a brewpub, give them a try also.

Also if you are looking to get slightly out of sacramento check out knee deep and mraz breweries. Final gravity is another great tap room with a nice selection of bottles too.
