    From their website:

"Q: Do you fill growlers that are not your own?

A: Yes. Here is our growler policy:

    • Growlers are for take-away only.
    • We fill outside growlers. We ask that you mask any distinguishing text or images from the brewery that the growler is from. This is not our rule, it's the State of California's rule. Masking tape works great.
    • Growlers must be either 64 or 32 fl oz wide-mouth. Bulb-style (ie. Sierra Nevada) or medicine bottle style (ie. Track 7 32 oz) will not be filled. Nothing against those types of bottles other than the fact that a whole lot of beer gets wasted when filling them. No unusual volumes will be filled.
    • Device Brewing reserves the right to refuse to fill any growler for any reason.
    • Growlers brought in for refill must be clean. We are not responsible for cleaning your growler.
    • Not all beers will be available for growler fills at all times. Typically we stop filling growlers if we're about to run out of a certain beer."
Not sure what's pouring today, but they've got several damn fine brews that are growler fill worthy.

Well for the people who think that their local beer selection is the best in world....good for you, hope you enjoy.
I know many beer aficionados who are quite happy with what goes down here in California. Could it be better, perhaps who knows, maybe/maybe not. In the grand scheme of things who cares, but it doesn't suck by any means.

    Thanks for your concern though.

I just want Green Flash to bring Alpine beers back to Sacramento. I am happy with the choices in the sacramento area, i drink a ton of hoppy beers and sours, TRB, RR, and Almanac are easily attainable . We've got a decent amount of BCBS the past few years. I am in the sierra foothills and had plenty of Tioga-Sequoia, Rush Hour and Midnight Rush this winter. I also enjoy Campfire Stout from Highwater...but my favorite brewery is actually from the Midwest, New Glarus, because they brew a ton of different styles and are crazy affordable.

I have friends in Chicagoland and agree that distro there is unreal, i like some Revolution & FFF beers but much prefer the WC IPA and sour programs "regional" to Sacramento. Also you can join the Bruery societies and not have to deal with a proxy to ship your beers to another state.

You should really travel more if you think that Sac has the worst distro in the country...

And your ability to exaggerate is second only to Kanye.

I don't think anyone would argue that Sacramento has better distribution than Chicago, or anywhere for that matter! However, to say that all we have is hoppy stuff, is a stretch. On a side note, now that Track 7 has started their barrel/sour program, you'll have something to look forward to!

@walterfredo Mraz and American River are also on the 50 corridor. As well as the El Dorado Hophouse, which is a great place for a burger and beer.

Thanks for the device rec, was perfect as we had our kids and dog with us, and was pleasantly surprised by their beer. Good stuff.

Mraz is well on their way to be the leading producer of delicous sours in the Sacramento area. Their Tart Saison with Apricots and Tart Saison with Blackberries I had this weekend were delicious. The Wild Amber Saison is fastastic also. Had that out on draft and out of the bottle - delicious.

I'm still waiting for an AMAZING local RIS. Device had one, but the recipe has changed. Looks like I still need to trade for Expo stout.

I went to San Diego once. All they had was hoppy beers. Talk about zero creativity...

There's no shortage of styles, breweries, or great shops around here. Keep trolling dude.

Distro may be a little better in Chi but availability here is a lot better IMO. I have friends I am sending beers to quite often that sell out in minutes there that we can grab here for a few days/weeks.
