Does Petrol normally have a SA tap? I can't recall, because like Rockwell, if I'm going there it is not so I can drink one of SAs regular releases. Obviously Petrol is doing something different than Rockwell since Petrol did get BB6.

Though I do see bought sides and completely understand financially where SA stands. I tend to.lean the "Rockwell" side on this. I'm a craft beer drinker and would.much rather be in an environment where its advocated. I don't like having to go bdubs or Fox and hound to try a BB, and have it served in a bottle, and when asked for a proper glass get handed a frosted pint.

I answered my own question by looking back through Petrols menu board photos for the past few months. For the small sample there was a SA offering about half of the time.

Rockwell has about 14 taps, and they generally carry seasonals / special releases from a great number of brewers, local, state and national. If all these companies had a dedicated tap policy like SA, there would be no room for the specials at Rockwell.

I'm firmly on Rockwell's side on this one. They have been a great supporter of SA in the past. They usually do have SA on tap, and probably as often as Petrol, as ajaylock proved in an earlier post.

Because I don't have all the facts, I don't feel comfortable formulating much of an opinion on who is right or wrong in the question of "Should Rockwell have BB6?"

However, I do have an opinion on the communication around that question. I am sick and damn tired of bars, breweries, distributors, or anyone in the business side turning to social media to complain about what they feel is unfair treatment. Stop "rallying the troops" every time that something doesn't go your way. Even if that something is in fact a great injustice, it's still wrong to turn social media into your business's army.

I love Rockwell. But I don't think it's okay to broadcast disputes with other businesses.

Yeah I bet they were rallying the troops but they could have been just trying to shut the consumer up from calling over and over: U guys got BB6 yet?

I am one of the owners of Rockwell, and our purpose of putting the information about BB6 on our social media was to get the it out to the public quickly. Our phone was constantly ringing so we were trying to reduce some of the overload. Social Media is our best way to get information to the masses. Rockwell is a huge supporter of Texas and specifically local Craft beer. We currently have Spring Bock on tap and prior to that we had Icon Red.

Maybe "bullying" wasn't the best choice of words but what is done is done. I didn't put screen shots of the text message from a Saint Arnold employee up for public view because I'm not trying to drag anyone through the mud or "rally the troops".

Saint Arnold is very fair about the distribution of these releases as far as I am concerned. You can find plenty of the past releases still at some bars around Houston. Hell, Gingerman, outside of Stags Head, was one of their first supporters and did not get any BB1. Maybe that was Gman's managements fault, but still. Not every place is going to get these releases. Oh well, social media will be the downfall of civilization basically because nobody has all the information. Let alone all the faux "reporting."

Got 4 today thanks to a PM from an awesome BA. Picked them up at Billy's on Burnet... there were 6 left when I got there just before 6pm and they were prepared to sell me all of them, but I really try to never take the last of something if I can help it. I'm sure it's gone now unfortunately, best of luck to everyone still looking.

Is there a running bet on how much the friendly spot is charging? I am guessing $18.

I wonder if these will keep popping up throughout the week. Does anybody know of any places getting them later?
