I saw the last one leave yesterday. I had mine tonight and… meh. It wasn't bad but the original was better (IMO, of course).

Coming through Laredo? If so, we should get a beer at Capataz. They have Codex Triplex on right now.

That's the beauty of the subjectivity of taste, I guess.

Try spending 11 years displaced on the border, it deepens your appreciation for special releases and culture in general.

Major League Grill in Beaumont still has bottles. Going for $15 a pop for onsite consumption.

I wish SA would take as hard of a line against the price gougers of this bottle as much as they do against bars that don't sell their beer 24/7.

Yep. I know it's a business, but I'm pretty sure SA would only have to threaten action against those places and it wouldn't actually hurt their bottom line at all. SA doesn't owe it to the consumer, but a little goodwill can go a long way.

That's the highest price I've seen outside of The Friendly Spot. These prices make it hard to #StayFriendly SMH

i hate to play the devil's advocate here, but if the business feels it can sell at that price point, why would they not?

speak with your dollar. if you feel it's too expensive, don't buy it. enough customers don't buy it, and they'll adjust the prices accordingly to match the market. weeeee economics, or something.

this whole frenzy to get it and get it now no matter what the cost will only continue to drive up prices to extraordinary highs.

no one HAS to have this or any beer. i've realized that. i've also realized that for less hassle and less $/ounce i can get better beers. so i do.

I am saying it more from the brewery standpoint. The place is taking advantage of customers at their expense. If I was a brewery, I would not want my beer being sold at completely inflated prices just because this place knows they will make a killing from it.
