i've been disappointed with their last few releases going back to fuzzy britches.

none of them have been bad, just that none of them stood out to me.

did love strange loops B1, and this newest batch is getting great reviews, so will look forward to opening that soon.

I thought Fuzzy Britches was really good, but they're falling into the trap Mikerphone did before. Everything started tasting very same-y. I may swing up to grab these just to check them out.

I hear ya. Brewing on a new system definitely could have an impact, for better or worse

Anyone at Begyle yet? I plan on arriving around 11 am or so. Wondering how this first release is going to be...

They said it’s hitting distro, so I’d assume they have plenty.

Healthy crowd but also very chill release. Wander On is probably their best IPA yet too.

They said cans will come out every 2 weeks on either Friday or Sunday (can’t do Saturdays). I suggested Sundays in the summer but Fridays in the fall once the Bears start. Maybe Fridays permanently is the smart move. Apricot milkshake ipa is on the way next. Very happy for those guys

Hitting distro this week. Pay attention to local social media and you’ll be able to track it down

Was in town this week and a friend picked me up a 4 pack of Wander On before we went golfing today. Had two on the course and thought it was just ok. Checked Untapped and apparently people are going crazy over this one, so I decided to crack one in my hotel room to see if maybe it would be a better setting to properly rate. It was.

First thing is that I love the fact it's not a DIPA. I feel like most of the special can releases in CA are 8% or higher, so the 7.1% is welcome lol. In fact I'm having it right after a crowler of Corridor's Mystic Fog, and I would say it's slightly better.

The mango/papaya aroma is strong in this one - really nice. Super smooth with only a very slight lingering bitterness. Slightly sweet, but not in an off-putting way. I'd call it a very solid 4.25, and would definitely recommend picking it up - especially since I feel like this is a dead week for Chicago releases with Beer Week around the corner (why oh why didn't I schedule this work trip for next week!?!?).

    * Full disclosure: I'm a Galaxy *****, so this was right up my alley. If you don't like that hop you may not like it.
