Carbonation for FB was a little to low for my likening. Reminded me of the first cans of Toro.

Picked up the new IPA from them this week....looking forward to trying it tonight.

What's the deal with these guys? Is it just a part time thing? I know they brew at Begyle but their releases are very sporadic. Wish we would see their stuff on a regular basis.

Thought this was truly their best IPA to date. Of course, if you like hop burn and/or IBUs you may think differently about it....

It is a great question...they seemed to brew more beer when they were brewing out of Mikerphone. Their stouts were some of the best non-BA stouts I have had from this area. Now, I only see them on a shelf sporadically and it is usually a DIPA for $18/4-pack. Really hard to take a chance on that...

I love their little stubby stout cans. Some have been better than others, and most of them are pretty one-note, but all of them are fairly thick. Anomia and Cauallier were really nice. I think they're perfect train beers. I'm waiting for the day they release Contrapasso in those little 8oz cans. Sweet coffee stout that I thought was fantastic.

Also, they are releasing BA Tepoztecatl on 11/23. No details yet as far as I can tell.

Surprised there are people who like that packaging size. I don't buy their beers precisely because I don't like the format/cost.

EDIT - Not to mention what I have had from them I have not liked.

I share your opinion as well. With the exception of Coco Van, I thought that was quite balanced and good (unlike most of their stouts which are super sweet and over the top with the adjuncts).

Coco Van is Hubbard's Cave, no?

Oy vey, I have no excuse for this one. No idea what I was thinking, except that I tend to lump all of the breweries that haven't impressed me into the same group. I'll show myself to the door.

I think I saw on IG that they're coming out with BA Tepoztecatl. I had to look up spelling, that's enough work for me so someone else can look up the specifics!

Like I said - I like them because they're good train beers. If I feel like having a stout on my train ride home, it's the perfect size for slow sipping. Also, once you get into 12oz or 16oz of a 12% stout, I'm not so keen on hopping off the train and into a car to drive and pick my daughter up from daycare, especially if it's icy out.

I agree, if I'm just cracking one open at home after dinner, I'd prefer a bigger format.
I know Coco Van is Hubbard's Cave, but I actually thought the adjuncts were too weak in that one. It was very good, but it just tasted like a normal RIS with maybe the slightest hint of vanilla. If I did it blind, you could have told me it was Even More Jesus, and I would have believed you. The adjuncts don't have to be over the top, but if they're going to put coconut in something (and if I'm going to pay extra for those adjuncts), I'd at least like to taste it.

They are going to post a link prior to 10 am Sunday. I guess we are going to have to keep a look out.

They replied to someone on FB saying "Will post the link prior to 10am Sunday". But ticket sales won't start until 10 am Sunday.
