    Grabbed an Expanding Symmetry earlier today. Looking forward to popping it tomorrow. May need to run and get more. The Open Bottle had plenty earlier today if anyone in the southwest burbs is looking.

    I thought Strange Loops and Expanding Symmetry> Basic Set. Still a good IPA but pretty bitter for the style.

    Just cracked a bottle of Basic Set and this is my favorite one from Saint Errant thus far. Really really great. Really dank, pretty bitter, full body, totally opaque yellow/golden in appearance. Wish I had picked up more bottles.

    It sounds like this one isn't a New England-style IPA...correct?

    I'd say it's NE-style but I got some green onion in there that I particularly didn't care for. But that was side-by-side with ABC BBD, so possibly not a fair assessment...

    I'd say it is, but if NE style allows for a dry and bitter hop bite on one far end of the spectrum and complete juice bomb on the other far end, this is more on the bitter hop bite end of the spectrum than the juice/fruit bomb side of things.

    Saint Errant releases their new stout tomorrow at Mikerphone. Red Tuxedo Imperial Stout with Raspberries, Cacao Nibs and Vanilla Beans. Can't wait. If it's half as good as their last stout then I'll be happy.

    Tried basic set at Beer Temple. It was fine. Very nice beer.

    But man was it expensive. $9 for an 8oz pour. They had a fruited lambic on that was priced similarly.

    I rated it a 4.1 tonight. I liked the body/mouthfeel on it. Yes it was raspberry sweet, but it didn’t bother me and I quite enjoyed it

    I thought it was a ton of raspberry up front but finished like a rich chocolate. On tap at beer temple, really enjoyed it.

    Really good. Super sweet on the nose but more in the acceptable range on flavor. Toasted coconut to start and it took a full 45 minutes of warming and then the hazelnut made its presence felt. I really liked this one

    Heard about the new coconut hazelnut Stout release from Saint Errant but I probably got a snowball's chance in hell iwill find in a bottle so I was wondering if anybody knows if it is on tap anywhere? Maybe at Mikerphone? If anybody can chime in and let me know I would appreciate it.
