thanks for the feedback, didn't even realize royal was out.

i keep wanting to like them more, but i've found diminishing returns after their first 2 (strange loops and expanding symmetry).

i missed contrapasso, so i'll probably give puncher's chance a go

St E has a business plan too. Just as Mikerphone did when they were "gypsy" brewing at UA.

So we should see St. E opening their own place in about 5 years by which time Mikerphone will be national and with a 100bbl production canning facility.

Contrapasso was outstanding...probably #2 after Tepoztecatl for me.

I thought Begyle brewed canned a bunch of stuff at Great Central

They do, but I believe they were mobile canning at one point so there is room for it.

Haha - that makes more sense. I was thinking about their untitled art collabs. Oops!

To defend Mike, he actually had Big Ass Cans before bottles, but I get your point. Its possible Mike knows he can charge more per oz for a 750 vs a cans.

He also LITERALLY cannot can. There is no room for a canning line mobile or otherwise. I'm sure he would love to be canning. It cannot currently happen.

All of Begyle's main lineup beers - the 12 oz cans are brewed and canned out of Great Central's brewery

The one off or limited stuff - all the 16 oz cans - are brewed and canned out of Begyle's facility.

I would imagine St. Errant would be brewing and canning out of Begyle's facility and this would likely be in 16oz cans.

Regarding their beers that do sit on shelves- These guys have had some REAL hits and a few misses. I think once word is out on a beer that determines if they sit. Sure, there are a few of the not-as-good IPAs sitting at Binnys, but is it next to a Contrapasso? Probably not. Even a "hype" flavored stout like Punchers Chance? I haven't seen those sitting, either.

Red Tuxedo sat and still sits some places because it was pretty widely agreed upon that it was just way too raspberry-y.

If/when they start canning vs 750ml I can't imagine these guys just blowing up.
