    Likewise. Both times I've bought it, I spent $40. It is worth every penny.

    Lamvinus is $26/750ml in Calgary and sells out quick every time.

    A buddy of mine had a tasting a month ago or so where he opened a '95 & '02-'12. The sweet spot definitely seemed to be '08-'09, with earlier than that just tasting like a good gueze.

    I bought some 05's last year and I think they're tasting great.

    Had 2006 at Teresa's Next Door outside of Philly recently... It was fantastic... sitting on my 2012 bottles for the next 7 years to hopefully get them on the same level!

    I was just about to create this thread. I smuggled a bottle back from the brewery in March (about $15, I think) and just scored another bottle from Healthy Spirits. Good to know the general consensus is that it is worth aging.

    I would recommend NOT aging Cantillon grape based lambics for an extended period. This applies to St Lamvinus, Vigneronne, and Don Quijote (had all 3 fresh and aged). These become very acidic, painfully so. 5+ years is going to become really difficult. At a year or two, you should be okay.

    Although I personally agree with you, there are others in my tasting group that disagree with me, so... That is, we've done verticals and the older ones have come out on top, so YMMV I guess. Some people seem to like the high acidity levels.
