    Hi all,

So, I received a bottle of a saison as a generous extra in a recent trade. Not exactly my favorite style to drink, but I don't want the bottle to go to waste... Anyone have any good recipes that call for a saison as an ingredient?

    Thanks and cheers
    Rich

Rabbit stew, game bird stew, crab boil, shrimp boil . .

Crab and shrimp boil? Never thought of that!

Second the shrimp boil. I have made a Saison Creole Shrimp a few times. And oddly enough, it makes a great pairing with Saison.

Make a fruit tart with it. You basically marinate the fruit in the beer and some honey. It's delicious and refreshing. I'd maybe go with raspberries for a saison (and it's getting to be summer, so they'll be in season), but you could also go with oranges. (I have a recipe with oranges and a local belgian wit-like beer here: http://beerfordessert.com/2012/02/t...ales-solar-trans-amplifier-and-a-hop-monster/)

Whoa. That sounds and looks f'ing fantastic. Is it tricky at all?

My goodness, great suggestions by all, thank you! Would anyone have the recipe for the shrimp boil?

Nope, nothing tricky. The tart shell is a sugar dough, so it's not as finnicky as pie crust.
