Hmm, I know I replied to this yesterday -- must not have hit "post."

No, I wasn't suggesting that at all, just saying that you're probably more likely than anyone to get those fresh-from-the-case bottles and would be able to definitively tell us if they smell skunky even though they'd been sealed up.

As to the the 2 different serving sizes, I was just pondering that you may not opt to handle the 750s anymore -- for just the reason we're discussing.

    Sorry for any previous misunderstanding.

    Ohhhhhh i get it.

Yes, it comes unskunked. But it skunks once it's put on the shelf. And yeah, i've considered pulling the 750's altogether, and in fact did for a short period of time. But people ask for them all the time, and so i brought'em back in.

Oh sheesh... Not this debate again. It seems like every few months or so people get fired up about SD and the green bottles.

I have never had any issues with SD and skunked beers. Yes they are green bottles and yes they often get "skunky" flavors as a result. Ideally you want to drink this beer on draft. That being said I have had many bottles at varying levels of "skunk" and I can honestly say none of them were bad. It fact some of the better bottles I have tried were older ones 2-3 years old off the shelves.

I have also seen the bottle variance and "skunkyness" of Dupont as a characteristic of this beer. It's pretty much good stuff no matter what.

Thanks for the confirmation. No more brewery conspiracies to worry about!
