I am going to brew the saison recipe found below. I wanted to impart some flavors and break the batch up after fermentation . I was thinking of breaking the batch into four /five different growlers (64 oz.) at bottling, each of which would have something added to impart some flavors. (Orange rinds, peppercorns, paradise, fruit, etc) I am looking for suggestions, recommendations, advice, amount of additions per growler, length of time in growler.

Remainder of beer will just be bottled as is. Haven't done anything like this and was wondering if it will work. Thanks in advance.

    My 2 cents...

    - You don't want to bottle with anything containing fermentable sugars (like fruit), unless you have carefully determined how much carbonation it's going to produce.

    - Objects in carbonated bottles of beer form nucleation points, which can lead to gushers, even if the bottles are not particularly over-carbonated.

    - For the above reasons, I'd recommend doing your splits as secondaries, then bottle and carbonate (without the extra stuff) afterward. Edit: Maybe that's what you were planning, now that I see "length of time in growler" in your OP. The "at bottling" threw me I guess.

I really like dry-hopping saisons. American (crystal, sterling)and NZ (pacifica!) noble types are my favorites.
