You should definitely try some beers from Prairie Artisan Ales. Every beer they make is a Saison. I have just started exploring their beers and have been very impressed. The combination of the old Belgian style with American hops is really terrific.

Logsdon has already been mentioned, so I'll put in a plug for Upright. Both of these breweries make world-class saisons that rival anything else I've had from anywhere in the world.

Funkwerks is fantastic, but they do not distribute outside of CO; nor does Crooked Stave, which also makes very good Saisons.

I think most of the ones I would have mentioned have already been said. So I will throw my "seconded" votes behind Tank 7, Colette, Hennepin, Dupont and Love Buzz. However, you will probably find yourself frustrated by a search for Love Buzz. I haven't been able to find any online in about 6 months, and I have no idea if/when Anchorage plans to produce it again.

I will also add to the conversation:

Saison de Lis by Perennial Artisan Ales
    Saison Rue by The Bruery

Yep, this. Stateside and Cellar Door are both excellent (and now reasonably priced). I haven't had Existent, but if you're down with dark saisons then it's probably a good bet for you.

Still waiting for this to show up in upstate NY. Kinda shitty that this isn't available two hours from the brewery but apparently it's available in a bunch of other states.

Wish I could find that wasn't heavily damaged by light. Every time I get one, it ends up tasting like Heineken. :slight_frown:

Saison DuPont. None do the classic saison better, and it's likely that none ever will. Hennepin makes for a decent approximation at a more friendly price.

Lots of great Saisons mentioned, but I'm dissappointed no one has mentioned Pretty Thing Jack D'or... It's both an excellent Saison and overall brew (and quite affordable too)...

I'm not sure what you've had, but saisons that are available year-round in VA are Dupont, Ommegang Hennepin, Boulevard Tank 7, and Goose Island Sofie. Those are all great, easy-to-find, not-too-expensive options. I'm actually not as big of a fan of the regular Dupont as some are (I've always thought it was a little ordinary), but their Avec Les Bons Voeux is stellar, though it's a winter seasonal.
