I brewed up a saison using a cultured blend of Crooked Stave and Hill Farmstead yeast strains. This turned out beautiful! Taste is nice and dry with funky tartness. Exceeded my expectations. Nobody else knows what any of this means so I had to share my excitement with this community.

I hear ya . . . really nice looking brew, but how come the trees have no leaves? I'm about a month behind you. My Saison is fermenting with harvested yeast from Ommegang/DuPont and the suspense is high.

It's been snowing every tuesday for the past month, the coming one included. That's why his trees have no leaves.

I need to make another saison. Better yet, another petite smash saison fermented at 64F. The first one was such a big hit I don't know what's taken me so long to brew another.

    Looks good man!

I need to brew a saison with crooked stave dregs in it. Damn, I wish I'd thought of that.

Its bullshit. Last year we were in the 80s already.

Op, what CS dregs did you use? I've been thinking about harvesting some surette provincial saison dregs, but I've got two weeks of fermentation going on a saison brewed with wlp670 going right now. Have to wait to do a CS saison.

I used CS Surette Provision Saison dregs. I took them from 8 bottles and built up a starter from that.

Nice. Sounds tasty, maybe when I get bottled we could do an IP bottle trade or homebrew bottle share.

Yes it was. I ended up with 4.75gallons when it was all said and done. I used 4.5oz of priming sugar for carbonation.
