Will be in SLC this weekend and looking for some beer tips. I will be staying near Beerhive and Beer Bar so will definitely hit those. Also, will probably stop by 2 Row as I enjoyed their beers last time I was out. Anything else I should be on the look out for, either brewery or simply beers available at the bars? Definitely, not up on the local offerings so any suggestions would be appreciated! Cheers!
Fisher, Templin Family Brewing, and Salt Fire are all doing a great job these days. Highly recommend all three.
I'll add my feedback as a visitor from LA to SLC last month. I thought 2 Row had the best beers I had all weekend (higher-alcohol bottled beer purchased at restaurants) The no more than 4% ABV beer on draft rule is a bummer, I thought Fisher does a good job working with the 4%. Kiitos had a good to-go can of NE IPA and a so-so to-go can of Imperial Stout w/Vanilla and Kiitos' 4% beers were hit and miss and not as good as Fisher. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the beer scene when I wasn't expecting much. If I lived in SLC I could get used to the 4% rule if I wanted to hang w/friends in a brewery setting.
