Me too, I thought last years beers were excellent and I would've loved to have seen them become Sam Adams regular beers.

For those who can't remember, they were an Altbier:

    A Munich Dunkel:

    and an Imperial Stout:

I actually went through three or four six packs of these last year. I'm interested to see what this years are like, but to be honest, none of the styles are speaking to me.

I wasn't really disappointed by the six pack, but it didn't completely wow me either. I started with the Strawberry Lager. Ehhh. Wasn't that great. Smelled much better than it tasted. Wasn't really worth it. Then I went to the Beer Flower Wheat. Better. I actually enjoyed the sweetness of this beer. Worth it. And I just now had a Magnificent Seven. Wow, I really like this beer. Totally worth it. I'd probably buy this in a six pack. I'm surprised that the Strawberry Lager was chosen to be a part of the six pack, but they probably just figured it'd appeal to females more that way.

I've been aware of and purchasing it since 2009...

2009 - Double IPA, Bock, Cranberry Wit (excellent beer)
2010 - Old Ale, Barleywine, Lemon Pepper Saison
2011 - Black IPA, Belgian IPA, rose/flower infused ale
2012 - Imperial Stout, Alt, Dunkel

I bought 2 cases in 2009 because of the DIPA and Wit. I haven't tasted an IPA or Wit from SA since that has matched either of those.

The beer with rose hips or whatever was very good.

Last year's Imperial Stout is better than the year round Imperial Stout that comes in 4 packs.

I still have bottles of the Barleywine, Saison, Belgian IPA, Alt and Imperial Stout.

I won't be buying it this year.

I agree the Magnificent Seven is impressive for what it is, which made the whole six pack worth it. I'd say it is far better than any IPA I've had by Sam Adams. The Strawberry Lager is good for what it is, although I have never been a huge fan of strawberry beers. The Beer Flower Wheat is very drinkable, especially in the summertime. Somewhat sweet but not overkill. Overall, the six pack is definitely worth a try.

yeah I was wondering the same if it was cheaper elsewhere because I saw it in Wappingers NY myself and wanted to check it out , but its hard to pay $20 for a 6 of anything with SAMS name on it when I can buy Palate Wrecker for $15 you know...

Wow, yeah I picked up in Mass for $9.50 for the six pack. I can't say it is worth $20 by a long shot..

That's a horrible markup. Think I paid $7.99 here in MN. I'm sorry to hear that.

I don't know, but I enjoyed this year's 6er, the first one to make it to Casper and guess who got to add the beers to the database?
