Does this beer have a significant amount of caffeine? For those that have had it, does it wake you up at all? I want to try it but I don't want to be up all night.

I doubt it has any significant amount of caffeine. I remember reading somewhere on here at one point that coffee beers in general don't really get much caffeine from the coffee, mostly just the flavors -- the coffee-to-beer ratio is too far skewed in the beer's favor for much (if any?) caffeine to end up in the final product.

It will have very little. Why not ask the brewery?

This question seems to be hotly contested on here, but there are a few threads about caffeine in coffee beers.

Summed up: there should be little to none. Any caffeine effects after drinking one are most likely placebo.

The caffeine won't affect you. I have had several coffee stouts and never felt the caffeine.

Asking the brewery is a good idea. But I will say that I had the same concern. However I tried it a few days ago and found that it did not keep me up or disturb my sleep pattern in the slightest. It's a pretty enjoyable beer. The Nitro Widget makes it super creamy. Decent stout. But I think I still prefer Samuel Adams Cream Stout. In addition, I had a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout right after the Nitro Coffee Stout. I definitely like the SS Oatmeal Stout better, which is not surprising; SS Oatmeal Stout is one of my favs. I know that the comparison is not completely valid though. One is a coffee stout, the other is a milk (oatmeal) stout.

We asked Trillium this question about one of their coffee stouts/porters. They said it did not contain any caffeine. He also said caffeine keeps him up at night but this stout/porter did not.
