The new packaging looks good.. I did notice that abv boost from 4.9 to 5.0 as well

With all that Red White & Blue, maybe next year they can have limited edition AMERICA cans for Summer ... I mean if Bud doesn't do it again.

That is cool, they are just trying to keep it fresh and new. I always enjoy their beers.

If so, BBC can always find out if the old Pabst>Heileman>Pabst trademark Red, White & Blue is still active. (And if it is, I'm sure Pabst'll gladly sell it to them).

I see the humor you were going for there, but the reality is that their beer most definitely doesn't need overhauling.
Boston Lager was, and still is, a skillfully and consistently well made product. It actually demonstrates a great deal more real craft than a lot of the other stuff hitting the shelves these days.

At first glance, that red star looks like it has a raised fist in front of it, reminiscent of classic socialist iconography.

They should overhaul the entire Rebel IPA line, some terrible beers in that lineup.

First thing I noticed too. I don't buy Sam Adams all that often, but always look forward to this Holiday pack specifically because of Holiday Porter and Old Fezziwig Ale. 6 packs perhaps?

Meh. I kinda like the look for its classicality, but I just love the retro bottles, sometimes thinking Sam's just gonna pop out of the label and hand me a beer!

As long as the label still boldy says "Brewer Patriot" that really is all that matters to me. I've always like that rebellious American free-spirit put out there on the label.

I like the old school labels better, the new ones are too over done graphic design. But we did grab a holiday pack for Thanksgiving. Old Fezziwig is an old favorite of mine. Winter Lager seemed a bit nuttier and less spicy, but maybe my tastes have changed. the white IPA seems out of place until you try it, it's hopped with Chinook and is like drinking liquid Christmas tree. The ginger beer was kind of weak. I've had worse beers though.

Don't feel bad. Every time I think I have it figured out, the damn things aren't on there. I'm glad I don't need that skill for anything important.
