I am going to be "that guy" and ask about this in October

This pack holds more sentimental value than anything to me as it was really my first main experience with craft beers many years ago.

In the past I feel like we at least knew the lineup of the beers by now...but I have not found any updated information regarding this year's selection.

    Does anyone have any information?

By the way, I really hope they bring back the Holiday Porter. Also, as I say every year, release Old Fezziwig in six packs already!

    Cheers.

It was my first variety pack years ago as well, I'd like to see Black & Brew brought back!

Scotch Ale, Holiday Porter, Double Bock and Old Fezz. 3 of each. The ultimate winter classics mix pack...

Each year I send them a pleading email to please restore Old Fezziwig to 6 pack glory or even the large format bottles it used to be in the 90's.

I did like the old Fezziwig, didn't there used to be a Chocolate Bock?

Yeah I wonder if it will follow the Harvest pack. Less varieties and more of each.

How about 4 Old Fezz,4 Holiday Porter,2 Winter Lager, 2 Boston Lager (you know they will and its still delicious..)

Well, we know there will be....

    1) Boston Lager
    2) Winter Lager

    Suspect there will be
    3) Holiday Porter
    4) Old Fezziwig

They may stop there and do 3/each as they did with the Fall Variety; if not I'd guess
    5) Chocolate Bock
    6) White Christmas

I'm surprised this isn't already on shelves. Long Trail's winter pack has been here for a couple of weeks now.

The winter classic pack usually comes out in November.

I know Boston Lager and Winter Lager will be in there for sure.

I imagine they'll stick that White Christmas one in and possibly Chocolate Bock?

I didn't buy it last year because they left out Holiday Porter but I tried the White Christmas (from a friend) and wasn't impressed at all.

If this year's Harvest Collection is any indication I'm guessing we'll see 3 each of Boston Lager, Winter Lager, Old Fezziwig, and a new beer.

Would love to have Holiday Porter, Old Fezzi, Black n' Brew, Cream Stout and Double Bock in it. I bet only one of those four makes it in however.

Winter Lager does great on its own in sixers, I don't see why they have to stick it in the winter pack. They already have Boston Lager in it to increase sales and exposure, that should be enough.

Double Bock might be my favorite SA beer ever and it annoys me to no end they took it out of four-pack rotation.

I highly doubt the Double Bock would make it into this mix; it's from their Imperial line and comes it at 9+% ABV

I got really excited reading the first sentence thinking this is what it actually was. Then I realized it's just your dream mix pack...good picks.

This is also a solid mix pack! I believe one year was Holiday Porter, Cream Stout, Black n' Brew, Old Fezzi, Winter Lager, and Boston Lager. The Cream Stout may have been the Chocolate Bock, regardless, it was their best one ever. Each choice screamed winter to me, and each beer was solid (well, maybe not Winter Lager....).

Sam Adams seems committed to introducing at least one new style to their seasonal packs now. You can count on Boston Lager and Winter Lager being in the pack. I'd like to believe that they'd keep Old Fezziwig because it's awesome and people love it, but they did dump Holiday Porter last year, so who knows? Honestly, the Scotch Ale, Holiday Porter, Old Fezz pack would be fantastic, but I don't see it happening.

I like it too, it's a nice easy-going beer (although I'm aware it used to have more heft to it). It's just that they already put it in sixers and 12-packs by itself, I don't see the need to put two beers with that status in the same variety pack (the other being BL).

    Theres not many of us.

I dig it though. Its got a nice malt bill and the perfect amount of seasonings for my palatte. I hate winter warmers that are way over spiced. The lager yeast helps keep it from being overly thick/syrups and makes it a bit more sessionable IMO.

Love me some holiday porter as well.

EDIT: Apparently there are 4 of us.

Agreed with the sentiment for winter lager. Also agreed that the heft of it has gone down since I first started having it 10 years ago....or maybe my encounters with heavies have gone up!

I like the winter lager. But I can buy the winter lager in six packs and drink it at bars. I can only get Old Fezewig, Chocolate Bock, and Holiday Porter in the winter classics pack.
