I'm a big fan of the Winter Lager. Possibly my favorite winter beer. I have never had Old Fezziwig but seeing the love that it gets here makes me want to try it. Looks like there will be ne of these Sam Adams winter classic packs in my future.

I always look forward to picking up this mixed 12 pack but from these reports, I'm not sure if I'll even consider it. I'll have to hunt down the fezzi singles.

Still waiting for a repeat of that legendary moment when the winter pack had Boston Lager, Black and Brew Stout, Holiday Porter, Old Fezziwig, Chocolate Bock and Winter Lager. How has such a legendary lineup just been thrown down the shitter in just 2 years? :*(

Ok, @mr_monch , you've talked me into it. Winter Lager, Chocobock, Ol Fezziwig, and a reformulated White Christmas makes the 24 Winter Pack initicing. Binnys has it. Might have to pull the trigger after all.

Man, the best version of this (IMO) was the winter 06 version. 2 each of:
    Boston Lager
    Winter Lager
    Holiday Porter
    Old Fezziwig
    Cream Stout
Cran Lambic (I'm one of the very few who pines for that one)

Someone brought a 12 to a party Saturday. I thought the White Christmas was pretty bad. I was not even a fan of the Old Fezziwig. I am not sure how my palate was at the time , but the Fez was a bit sweet for me.

The chocolate bock is only in the 24-packs. I bought one a few weeks ago. If my memory is correct it was
    8 winter lager
    4 white christmas
    4 fezz
    4 chocolate bock
    4 boston lager

No Holiday Porter means the whole assortment is off my list. I've grown tired of paying for 24 bottles, but only finding 12 to be drinkable.

Winter Lager is not a Bock!
Very Good: Hybrid between a Vienna/Amber/Oktoberfest Lagers
Not a big SA fan, but I will buy the Winter Lager again!

I grabbed the 24 pack because of the 4 Old Fezziwigs and 4 Chocolate Bocks. 8 Winter Lagers and 4 Boston Lagers is a bit much, but they are solid beers and made the whole thing worth the $25 I found it for. I don't remember liking the White Xmas, but I may as well drink one to review it and give it to someone who likes Blue Moon.

Sam needs to put out an "Awesome Winter Sampler" with 2 of each Fezziwigs, Chocolate Bocks, Maple Pecan Porters, Holiday Porters and Black and Brew. Man, I really miss the ones they left out this year...

My uncle picked one up earlier this week and for whatever reason ours ended up being:

    4 White Christmas
    4 Winter Lager
    4 Old Fezziwig

Not one stout or porter in a winter pack? I usually buy, but I will skip this for the first time just like I did the fall pack.

So am I understanding that if you buy this pack you have absolutely no idea what will be inside of it other than that you will be stuck with a few White Christmas bottles?

^^No, here's how it works. If you buy the 12pks, you get 2 Boston, 4 Winter, 4 White, and 2 Old Fezzi. If you buy the 24pks, you get 8 Winter, 4 White, 4 Boston, 4 Chocolate Bock, and 4 Old Fezzi. 24pks hands down better.

I think they should throw the cream stout into the winter pack. Its pretty delicious, and getting harder to find that it used to be.

I guess my family is going to have to expand their horizons a bit and enjoy craft beer from another brewery's mix pack on Christmas Day.

I haven't seen them anywhere outside of Costco, but I'm sure Sam's Club has them, too.

Thanks. We don't have Costco and I don't go to Sam's. That explains why I've never seen them.
