    I've been drinking this beer for about the last three months or so, and was surprised to see only 19 reviews. I guess I didn't realize it was that limited? What is the distro like for this beer around the United States, and those of you who have tried it and haven't posted a formal review, what are your feelings? I feel like this is an excellent Dopplebock and more people should enjoy it...

    I guess the price keeps a lot of people away. Isn't it around $20 for a 4-pack? Personally, I've never tried the Helles. However, I did find a 4-pack of the regular Samiclaus from 2010 in my bottle shop recently. I snatched it up and stuck it in the cellar to save for wintertime. Hey, if the Beer Hunter Michael Jackson liked it, that's good enough for me!

    I opened a bottle for the first time this last year -- I thought it was delicious. Sort of like a lagered barleywine.

    Looks like 193 reviews to me, for the regular 12 oz. bottle version - Samichlaus Bier Helles

    19 reviews for the big bottle.

    Never had the big bottled version.

    As for the small bottle, I wasn't crazy about it, too sweet and malty. Although I do not know when it was bottled.
